Newsletter number 4

Hello everyone. I hope everyone has been doing well and wish that everyone finds or keeps on a path that makes them happy. There might be rough times that seem to last for a while, however be assured that these rough times will always serve as a learning experience for us all and things will tend to go better. I would once again like to thank you for listening, subscribing and freely downloading the music I have posted, and want to invite you to share among your friends or colleagues that you think would be in to this sort of genre. Throughout the past months I have been asked when I will have new music available on the site and wanted to take the opportunity to explain why this isn’t happening as fast as I would like to, conserving the principal that “I should share more of myself than what other people think is appropriate without loosing the purpose of what is really important”. The first main reason it that “real life” is getting in the way. I don’t mean to state that this part of my life is not real at all, however as I stated on my previous post I was undecided between two roles that I was offered within my company. I took a risk (since my background has been in business) and opted for the IT role instead of the sales role. This in turn, brings new challenges and more personal time investment to handle the transition. The second reason is Family. Before anything else I am a husband and a father. Having a four year old daughter and a wife requires that I dedicate a good deal of attention to both. This sometimes can affect recording sessions to due to unwanted background noises such as: child screams (Dad, can I have some milk?, Dad, can you play with me? Etc.), wife rants (Honey! Guess what happened to me at work today! , Honey! I can’t find the TV remote! , Honey! Did you feed the cat? etc), and of course the cat (Meow!!). The third and last reason is the lack of a drummer. First of all I would like to give credit to my good friend Edgar Carmona since he helped jumpstart the project way back in 2001. We have kind of lost touch throughout the years and the last time I called him I was quite tipsy. I haven’t really had the courage to ask him if he would like to restart the project and have unable to find another drummer that would be interested. With that being said, I am still recording some stuff on the weekends when I get some spare time, but still need to focus on getting to lay down the ideas on tracks and editing the songs for me to be able to post. I am thinking that I will probably have some material up and running by mid December, however all of the three reasons above might delay this a bit. With all of the above said, please let me know if I should gather the courage and get Edgar to play the drums again (He also played in my favorite band). I promise that my next newsletter will be a little bit more interesting since I want to write things more like a storyteller. I will attempt to explain some of the weird titles of the songs I posted, after all who the hell names a song “Kids will Stone You” (There is a very interesting anecdote behind the title). Again, thank you all very much for listening and letting me be part of your lives. Please remember that there is plenty of help needed throughout the world and as the great Bob Marley once put it “If evil doesn’t rest, why should goodness”. Have a great evening everyone. Best regards, Hiram Moreno. P.S. Hang in there Dale. 
