Brand New Morning by Mississippi Hard Road

"Brand New Morning" by Mississippi Hard Road. Right off love the vocals! Very strong intro and fat sound. I like the orchestration with so many instruments. Very clean and bright recording. Nice Guitar lead merging into a Sax lead. This is the kind of song that should be a staple on morning radio, and makes for a great "cruising" tune. So nice to hear a good positive tune nowadays! The fiddle riffs add a lot to the orchestration as well. Overall, very good fat recording,

Brand New Morning Wow! You guys have a lot of really powerful stuff going on in this Song. Great Musicianship all around. Drummer is tight and the Kit sounds Awesome! OK let's see if I missed any Celloist, Violinist, Organist, Pianist, Bassist, I counted Two Guitars, & a Sax! Holy Cow! Along with great 3 part Backup Harmony and a Vocalist that reminded me of Dr Hook Putting some down home perspectives on reality with the Lyrics. "Gypsy Winds" hit home for me. I wrote a song called just that! I like it all except for one thing. If I didn't bring it up I wouldn't be being honest. It might just be my headphones. But I had to run it through my BBE to hear it all. There seems to be A Mid / Low Mid conflict that's canceling a lot of that precise hard work out. And its all coming together behind the vocal. The Drums are coming through, So is the Lead and Sax but the lower registers are getting muddled up the need panning and slight adjustments to shine through because a lot of really good sound is being swallowed up by the lower registers. I hope this helps. Great song, Great Band! Peace. Awz

Great Song

I really like this song. The rough blues/rock vocals are amazing. I also noticed the drum fills and rythmn sounded quite intricate. I have it saved to my favorites, looking forward to more!!

It has a great sax riff, the vocalist has that great raspy husky vocal, and the song glides along with that seventies good feeling. I like it, it has that thing that if you heard it on radio you'd listen all the away through, I have a fever otherwide id right more good things.

It sounds like those good old days back in the 60's!!!!! Song has a Great Beat and Music!!!!! Vocalist reminds me of Paul Revere & The Raiders!!!! It's a little more Rock than Blues. But I Like it!!!!! The Lyrics were good!!!! All together a Good Song!!!!

Solid southern rock

Well produced, well performed. Vocals were a tad "shouty" pushing the envelop a tad too hard. Loved the bass playing. It really stood out for me. All other instruments were good. The digital strings can go away! I'd put more of that organ in the mix. Overall, good track. Earns 3.5 stars! God job folks!

I love the southern blues rock vibe. I would love to hear the vocal stand out more over the music and the harmony to consume me. It feels like it wants to but the producer was playing it a bit too safe. This song can pop like an anthem if pushed harder and then I would feel like you have a hit on your hands. Never be afraid of the rock aspect of the genre. I want to hear more. Great Stuff!!!
