To all of my subscribers, my sincere apologies. Life got on the way of regular service on N1M as to say I've not been online would be disingenuous. I have been rather busy cultivating other business and that does include music, you'll be glad to know. To make up for my absence in part, I've included a very recent track I built for a beat contest, which I believe I should share, whether I win or lose. Secondly, as I didn't have direct access to all of you previously (as I tried to build my audience on this platform but kept being funnelled toward a premium account which I hadn't started the profile for), I hadn't been able to consistently provide you all with the value and potential you saw from my 3 songs on here. I am on various other hosting platforms which have music i have currently stream, albeit unofficial remixes/mashups, but still all from yours truly. All said and done, I shall be launching my promotional site via (expired link) in the coming weeks, which will consolidate all of my efforts and I shall be in touch with you all more often with more content as I had promised all along. I appreciate you all for staying the course and assure you that the glimpse and promise I hinted at wasn't broken, nay, it just took time out to strengthen and come back with a better roadmap. I shall be in touch.

Before I get into my monthly updates and what not, I wish to say (expired link). to Charlie Murphy who passed VERY recently - Condolences to his family and anyone else out there, bereaved.
So, this is really to keep y'all posted on latest developments in the Mike Midas camp. In good hope, coming in a few months (or sooner ... hmmm) shall be the Sonic Catalog Recordings 'umbrella' which is meant to be the production home/label/brand from which my works shall be attributed, but y'all who are into my releases shall know I'm the man behind the enterprise. I shall have the Facebook page running soon-ish, followed at an undisclosed time this year by the website. I am also planning on having new content (music related) on the home website, which shall be promoted for sale as since I posted the few tracks on N1M, there's been a number of requests to be able to purchase my content.

Mike Midas - DJ, MC, Composer, Arranger, Engineer, Programmer, Producer
Started my love affair with music early on in life but really got into it in my teens, when sampling culture began to emerge. This led to me becoming a DJ in my late teens, opening up my talents for rocking parties and getting into turntablism. (Check out Mixcloud for my DJ Mixes, ranging from Hip Hop to RNB primarily, also featuring other genres I shall post over time). Fast forward to mid 2000s, I got the opportunity to purchase an AKAi Pro Drum machine, the world renowned MPC (2000XL) and this brought me closer to experiencing some of what my musical icons were using to create music. Though it took me some time to get into the swing of things (Excuse the pun!), I eventually got to understand more about music theory, composition & studio affairs - even started to mess with keys and melodies, besides searching for samples. During this time however, I had been holding down a nine to five so I would squeeze out any opportunity to make beats - safe to say I had caught the production bug in a major way. I farmed out beats to my peeps to test the waters and gain further experience of making tunes. With the need to grow, I got into Propellerhead Reason & Ableton Live, to continue my production development. Around 2015, I completed my first full project with a collective and even laced some tracks with my first written & vocal work (some of which you can hear on N1M, Soundcloud, Audiomack, IllMuzik, Bandcamp). I still DJ to this day and continue also to compose beats toward completing further songs and projects.
