Alright
Cool groove. I like the repetition in the chorus. Lyric is reminiscent of “The Weight,” with a different set of melodic and rhythmic expressions. Nice lead guitar part, simple like CCR, we can all play it, but at the same time tasteful and we can’t all make that up.

First let me begin brother with, why isn't there more songs of reaching the heartstrings out there today. Carry the load we are all there or done that, to help someone else in need. This song has a great melody, great guitar work I hear all thru this song. Kind of reminds me of Bob Dylan. Also back in the eighties a little of Kieth Green and Larry Norman, Degarmo & Key Christian Artists. i love how the song and all the instruments sound all the way thru it. My only critique would be the song is a little long. I would go 3:50-4:00 mins. If it's an album cut, then it won't matter. Otherwise I love this song Mike, great job. Songedge

Upon your very first listen the Oregon based artist Mike Corry and his fabulous "Carry That Load", you could not help but be deeply impressed by the great musical performance, clever writing and the exceptional production.values. Carry that load Superbly!
Carry That Load is a really catchy song! Crystal clear guitar play and bridge input, It is one of these songs which hold you with a Story Lyric till the end! I Liked the slight hesitation during the Chorus! Adds a uniqueness! Reminded me of the Master, Leonard’s Cohens “Only Passing Through”! It is maybe a little mournful, but i enjoyed the ride! Thanks for sharing and good luck with it! A quality song with good vocals. Should be proud of it! I would be!

Laid back classic
Reminds me of Classic "Music from big Pink" songs from the Band. The singer has a vocal style just like Levon Helm & the overall production has a nice retro 60s sound. The Lead guitar sols is very melodic & I like the slide acoustic flourishes too!

Take a Load Off
Love the super slow tempo, and homage to Take a Load Off Annie/The Band. Excellent instrumentation from all players. Bet these guys go over big at the roadhouse. Good ole gospel blues. Authentic vocals. Seems like they've been around awhile.

Mike Corry Carrying that load!
Mike Corry has a huge back story to tell. Check out his biog on N1M. After years on the road playing guitar and songwriting and meeting and playing with many real greats in the business, he finally found spiritual peace in the Church and is quite clear and up front about his conversion. This, his latest release, sounds uncannily like the Band crossed with the Grateful Dead, which to my ears is a wonderful place to start. An uplifting lyric, with great, tight drumming from Joshua Corry and most other instruments by Mike, it's a neat song, reflecting all the years he's been sharpening his craft. Good production and a vocal that has hints of Jerry Garcia, coupled with a wonderful guitar solo and real tight ensemble playing, make this a song well worth listening to. Apart from all this, it is a memorable piece of songwriting. What's NOT to like! If you're lucky enough to live in Oregon USA, you might just be able to see him live. Lucky you!

I like the feel
Nice guitar lick kind of a bluesy yet Gospel feel as well. Good tiltle to the song, I like the laid back feel of the song. Nice song to hear while driving down the road. Good work keep it up feel good songs are the best .

great production! you can tell all the instruments and the musicians all know what they’re doing. I wish they put a couple rhythm breaks in there kind of missing that hook line but I think it’s really good for what I can pair it to.
