Joy - Indeed!

Helpful

Great early 70's feel to the song. For an Italian singer, the English singing is pretty solid. I like songs that have the guitar picking at the beginning. The music could be part of a happy-go-lucky Romantic Comedy movie or film. I'm not sure if this is correctly classified as "rock" for the genre, but it's more of a Folk/Blues song. I'd put this on my computer's playlist and listen while at home!

ENJOYED

I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed this song. The music and arrangement was excellent. I would of liked to of been able to understand your lyrics a little better. Maybe enunciate a little more. Of course without losing the feel. Cause it felt GOOD. GREAT JOB

great organ sound

This is a happy song. I like this tune. the vocals are well placed in the mix without too much processing. the organ is the star for me and the break down vocal chorus sounds like a great live sing along possibility. This is one of the better tunes I have reviewed so far. There is not much I would change . Hey there is some dobro at the end too. Keep up the good work. It sounds like you are having fun along the way. BCinbergen

Joyless tosh

It started off ok until he starts to sing. I have never understand the point in singing a line and repeating what has just been said. Repetition seems to be the main objective of this song. Putting joy in one's heart and soul is not as easy at imagined, especially after hearing this dismal entreaty. The last few notes of his guitar, just before the song ends, sound really nice.

Good Tune!

Helpful

This tune got me with the opening guitar licks. A very good groove. I have to admit, hearing the blues sung with an Italian accent did make me chuckle, but I can also hear that he is true to the aesthetic. I very much enjoyed the vocal harmonies as well. I would bring up the bass and kick a little more to fatten the groove and maybe a little more tremelo and reverb on the organ. Maybe another verse instead of repeating the chorus so many times at the end. This was more of a blue-grass sound than blues, but still very pleasant.

Joy

What the lyrics say to me..."I'm coming up! I'm coming through!"I love this upbeat song with it's call for JOY. Jazzy Bluesy Rocking sound. The Back up vocals add to the whole with a bit of barber shop quartet action thrown in the mix. It's about time someone wrote a song like this one. Reminds me of that song, "Put A Little Love In Your Heart" The whole composition is great!

its all about the joy...

Michele Biondi brings us Joy.. a straightforward blues ditty with classic overtones of various 70's rock instrumentation. From a listener's perspective it has all the familiar constraints to early CCR or John Fogerty or even Jackson Browne type of mirth in circuitous social construct message of life. From a producer's perspective, I am a bit disappointed in the lead vocals. Frankly it does not quite measure up to the attention to detail of the harmony and backup vocals. There is a definite need for some restructured breathing patterns for the song to better allow the application of vibrato and sustain of key moments of the song. Its a fair effort, but it could have been better.

Great Outlook.

Lyrically a great message. All kinds of ways to get you some happiness. Cool melody and very well played and recorded. Can hear this being sung in church or bar, all the same. Love is all you need. What a concept. I like it. MHD.

"Joy" - by Michele.Biondi

You are reading a review of the song, "Joy,"written by the music artist Michele Biondi. This song is based on swamp style guitar riff, but quickly expands into a happy, Pop, country church, sing along. Nice musical performance by the musicians. Thanks for the positive energy!!!

Joy

Very catchy song, well recorded. Makes you want to listen to more of their tracks. Don't know what genre it is, sounded blues/tones of country and rock. Can't think of much more I can say, other than I enjoyed it.

no joy

The song starts off with some very strange sounding guitar, While you are trying to make up your mind about whether you like that the the excellent rhythm section kicks in; somewhat reminiscent of The Band, although a smoother sound. Smooth is not necessarily better but in this case I like it. I especially like the piano. vocals are ok but the hook line of the song is too dreary for the 'joy' it's meant to express...not really a 'hook'. It's also repeated too many times. The vocals at the end of the song without accompaniment could be dropped. I don't like this particular song very much, I listened to it three times as I do with all my reviews, but I do like the band and would suggest checking them out. T'Zide
