Christmas standards from sacred to silly
Michael J. Peterson – A Simple Christmas Recital December 25, 2015
2020! I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This recital 5 years ago was for family, friends and students. I never published it until this evening. I've wanted to do something like this, a simple Christmas Greeting recital to wish many friends, former students, family, and loved ones a Merry Christmas for several years.
I carried a video camera into my classroom, set up to sing an impromptu recital of Christmas songs with a total run time of about 47 minutes. This was a bit of a warmup for me because I had a cold at that time, just recovering, so most everything I sang was baritone. I simply sang from one song to the next, with a few glitches when the backing track didn't start correctly.
It is honor, to have all of you who had and have an impact in my life. Please know with this that I think of of you at this time of year. I spent about 2 hours recording time that day with a break of a few hours in between the first recording hour and 10 minutes and the last 30 minutes or so.
Merry Christmas (without claiming rights to songs or arrangements other than to support my personal vocal performance to Christmas Karaoke. 21 Songs in total. Run time:
