musical trip to Serbia

Hello everybody, Here some words from me, Marjoline Kampinga from Holland. This month, just before corona I was in Belgrade and Smederova in Serbia for about two weeks to meet Branko Potkonjak again and let my path come to Serbian music. And I was so lucky that I found it. With Branko we met and made some music and I heard him and his band play in Urmus a intimate rock club in Belgrade and at the end we improvised. That was really nice and special. And faith brought me in contact with Dragana Zunac. We sang traditional Serbian and Slavic songs like Gusta di magla and Tri devojki and Jovano Jovanke. I did not manage to meet Svetlana Stevic whom I try to meet now for the third time I was in Serbia. She sings really beautiful songs. Maybe next time... Here in Holland I am busy with recording my own songs with some amazing and beautiful musicians; we practiced a few times and soon we will record the first four songs if we are allowed to (from above). When my own songs are recorded I really wish to record more Slavic songs and let the world hear my music. Mantra's are also in my mind to record. So many plans. I hope you all really enjoy the magic of the voices. ps: both songs are recorded after two/three times of practice in a hostel and in the park, so do not listen to background noice or a false note somewhere. Sude tut is another song, sang here in Holland, playing the piano by me; it is a Roma song from Tsjechoslowakia and it means 'hold yourself, hold yourself, hold on to me'. It is a very nice up song that gives a lot of joy. bye bye, with love from me, lots of love since I met a beautiful man, there are so many I have to say... well I am very lucky to meet some, sometimes luck is beyond limits, from Marjoline
