About Maciej Strzelczyk

Maciej Strzelczyk is a part of the Polish and European jazz violinists elite from many years. He has won many awards, including the award of the Jazz Juniors, The Gold Bow on MFSJ Sejfert in Szczecin, the first prize for the best instrumentalist at the Festival of Jazz on the Oder and the Key to Career at Pomeranian Jazz Autumn. As the leader of the Set-Off he has received the second prize at the Jazz Festival in Hoeilart in Belgium. He has collaborated with the greats jazz musicians such as: M. Blizinski, K. Jonkisz, S. Kulpowicz, W. Nahorny, Z. Namyslowski, T. Stańko, (expired link)ński, (expired link), I .Zając, E. Bem, J. Cream, J. Skowron. He was performing also with Irwing Lee III Jr., P. Caterine, P. Blanchard, Michael Patches Steward, Frank Parker, Victor Bailey. Proclaimed six times with the first jazz violinist in Poland by Jazz Forum Magazine. Nominated twice for the Fryderyk in the category Jazz Musician and Jazz Album. He has recorded two albums: MUSIC FOR M and Jobim. He has participated in more than 30 musical projects.
