Beginning new album for 2021, trying a new thing
I find myself wanting to make music more than playing video games lately, so I've set a goal of one new song per month for a year. A month for one song is 4x longer than I normally take but what I hope to gain is a leap in quality. Mastering is a skill I must learn if I expect to grow past amateur. This attached song is one that I took a little bit of extra time with, I'm hoping it shows.
Its starting to get to the point that the subtle nuances are what I've got to improve on in order to advance, its like an RPG, I've got the gear (mostly, couple VST's I still want,) now its time to fine tune the build.
The song is named "Hopeless", some of my friends on facebook, as well as my old self, are the dark depressed types, and hopefully with that name folks might thing "Oh a song about hopelessness, alright!" HAAHA! Gotcha, its about possibilities, and never giving up hope. Its numbered 0 cause I've yet to decide which order on the album its gonna go, this is going to be a recurring theme, just in case you were wondering.
Anyway, happy 2020 so far, I've got global internet collapse for august, you?
