Hey guys,
A few weeks ago we reached out to you to thank you for your listener support and to level with you about the extreme lack of financial support Lavender & Red has had since we formed in 2013.
In the three years we have been producing music, Lavender & Red has reached over 400,000 listens by over 12,000 fans across 25 different countries. We have been so blessed by the kind words and reviews from many of you and we couldn’t be more grateful for the ways in which you have impacted our lives as well.
Here comes the bad news…
After pouring over three thousand dollars into our music and our mission for you guys in the form of radio airplay credits, albums production and printing and memberships to ensure Spotify, Jango and NumberOne Music listenability…we’re left with only $13.90 to our Lavender & Red name.
Sadly, we find ourselves in a bit of a money crunch due to this and many other factors. Without the financial involvement of our fans, we are being forced to pare down our musical presence.
We regret to inform you that as of December 2016, Lavender & Red will only be available to listen to on the following platforms:
Youtube
Soundcloud
Spotify
We simply cannot afford our presence with NumberOne Music, Jango and Reverbnation any longer without more financial feedback from fans.
As always, we are eternally grateful for your support and we sincerely hope that our music and mission is only temporarily set back. We intend to come back at it again when we have the financial support.

Lavender & Red here, and we think it's time to get real. Lavender & Red has been producing music and making it available to you and your world for 2 amazing years. There is nothing (absolutely nothing) we love more than making music, making an impact and making friends.
But the fact of the matter is, in the 2 years Lavender & Red has been at it, we've poured nearly 500% more into our Initiative than we've gotten back.
That's right. In 2 years, we've paid out almost $8000 to copyright offices, radio stations, membership programs and our CD printers/distributors and we have made an exact total of $13.71 back.
Our Initiative means the world to us and we aren't going to stop fighting for it. But the fact of the matter is, two people can't survive on $13.71 a year. And the more time we have to devote to our many other jobs, the less time we give to you, making music and changing the world.
We know you care. We hear from dozens of fans every day about how our music has touched, changed or inspired them. We don't want that to stop, ever. So we're leveling with you. We need your help...
There are three ways you can help us:
1. Buy a song.
- Just one! Lavender & Red has a "Music Matters" policy, which means we will never charge you more than $1.50 for a
song. That is one quarter of what you pay for coffee every day.
2. Buy an album.
- We have 200 sitting on our living room floor! You'll never pay more than $12.00 for a Lavender & Red album. Think
about it, that's half of what you paid for you last album.
3. Listen on Spotify
- Lavender & Red has been active on Spotify for about a year and in that time, we've have only 20 streams. By all
means, keep listening on NumberOne, Soundcloud, Youtube, Jango and Reverbnation. But you should know that we
pay out of pocket for your ability to listen on most of these sites and we don't get paid for you listens anywhere but
Spotify.
Everyone wants to make it in the world doing what they love. We want to make the world a place where people do everything in love. And we can't do that on $13.71 a year.
Please, please, please consider supporting the Lavender & Red Initiative. We wouldn't ask you if we didn't care.

Lavender & Red first began producing music together in 2013. We are artists, poets, persons and we reach for depth in our music.
Lavender is an author and an artist. She has maintained a collection of lyrics large enough to fill three binders for nearly a decade.
Red is a mystic and musician. He has recorded hundreds of impromptu jam sessions since he began playing guitar in 2008.
