About Last Rites

Last Rites, founded in 1997, are a Thrash-Death Metal band from Savona, Italy.
Dave vocals and guitar, Jan lead guitar, Libu bass and Laccio drums, the historical formation (2001-2007).
After years of hard work, in 2001 record at Nadir Studio with Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) the demo of the same name and a few months later the song "Psycho Killer" that will be part of the "Nadir Compilation", including the best productions of the studio.
Also in 2001, the band won the "Almost Famous Competition" for emerging bands that took place in the province of Turin.
Their real debut came in 2002 with the album "Mind Prison", which is distributed by the Dutch Two Fat Men in Europe, receiving good reviews.
In 2004 were selected from the most promising 10 Thrash Metal band from the Italian magazine Metal Hammer.
In 2006 released the mini-cd "Hate", distributed by Akom Prod / Cool Blood Records.
In 2007, their song "Equilibrium" is included in the "Liguria In Metal Compilation", containing the songs of the best underground metal bands selected by users of the forum Liguria In Metal.
At the end of the same year Jan left the band, was replaced shortly by Fabrizio "Breaker" that leaves itself after a couple of years.
Here the group's decision to a 3 formation: Dave, Libu and Laccio.
2009: released his self-produced mini "Future Wolrd" hard rhythmics, time changes, screaming vocals alternate to growl, a mix of power and aggression, surely the most mature and compelling work to date.
In December 2009, access to the finals of the contest "A contest in hell" organized by Nardir Music.
In 2011 are chosen by Zonametallica for the Italian Compilation Tribute in honor of the thirtieth year of Metallica birth with a cover of "No Remorse".
Libu left the band in October 2011.
In July 2012 become part of Last Rites Bomber on lead guitar and Gallaxy (Wounded Knee) on bass.
