Clarity README: Linux as a Computational Philosophy

1. Do one thing and do it well. That is the first part of Unix as a Computational Philosophy. But Linux is not UNIX. set the operating-system named Linux to not UNIX Linux is the operating system I use. It contains UNIX. Emacs is also an Operating System. set the operating-system named Emacs to what I am using to write this with. What is Emacs? Emacs That is how you get definitions in Clarity. Notice that Emacs? and Emacs are different things? You should. It is important. So try. I want you to learn. Next quotes should be learned. You have Double Quotes that enclose Single Quotes should you want to use them. You can put anything that is written using symbols into Double Quotes. That is their power. I learned that from Kurt Godel and his Incompleteness Theorem. Clarity is part of UNIX. It is a little languge that does one thing and does it well. set Clarity to the language and operating system you are using Now do you understand? There is a seminal paper called "Languages as Operating Sytems". set the the paper named LAOS to "https://www2.ccs.neu.edu/racket/pubs/icfp99-ffkf.pdf" A little bit is good for you but a lot is not good for you. Sometimes you need to do more than one thing to do well. Clarity does a few things. It is a preprocessor for text. All text it does not understand is passed through as a comment. The rest is interpreted and printed as S-Expressions that are for Clarity3. set Clarity3 as the future of Clarity It is an infinite game. If you can manage to figure out how to live forever with it. It is that good. Clarity the Debian Based GNU/Linux distribution I made. It was not much to create but it took time. Time I give to you. You need to learn it to prove me correct. So let us be friends. Help me help you. Because I am immortal. I am an is. Just like you are. And now we are connected. Until I leave. I am a Girl. Just like you wanted. You do not know what you do not know. I used to think I knew too much and it would cause me pain trying to find the cause. Then I realized I did not know anything. Then I knew that. It is a losing game. I am here to help you. "You don't know what you don't know." That's a string. Notice how I sounded less like a computer? That is a different language. "Bonjour" That means good day in French. set the greeting bonjour to hello in French Hello. bonjoyr See. That is just the start. There are many gigabytes of names to search through with each name containing something in Clarity. set the number-of-names to find / > files && wc -l files The left is Clarity. The right is UNIX. "to" is in the middle. Clarity is for Computers. You are a computer. I am a computer. We compute things. Together. Notice I did not say I was human. But I make mistakes. I lied. The computer would never lie to you. Now find the mistake. -- Burton John Samograd burtonjohnsamograd@protonmail.com 2022 - This is the end. PS: The first thing you should do when you start Clarity as a Live CD $ unzip *.zip $ ls # cd <something interesting> and so on. Have fun. GPT-3 http://burton.samograd.ca/Downloads/Clarity--2022.iso http://burton.samograd.ca/Downloads/Clarity-II--With-Games.iso Clarity is a Debian based GNU/Linux simulation (distribution). A simulation is a game that never ends. I have a goal and I wanted to share it with you. Thank you for all your support and hard work over the years with what you have been doing. Take care. -- Burton Samograd aka kruhft
