Kristeen NOLAND brings us Initius Vale, an instrumental... one of those pieces that has such an open platform to deliver upon that it like so many drifts aimlessly through the plain without direction. As a song it works fine for the background to a movie with the credits scrolling... From the producers point of view it has all the touchpoints but leaves you wondering what the song is about or its purpose. It is so generic that it fails to establish itself. Thats a shame because the guitar playing is very good. But it too is as aimless as the song.

Supporting a Vast Imagery

A strong and well defined beat start off this cinematic piece. The simple melody sets up a nice array of sections that flow like a vast field of greenery. It’s easy to imagine this serving as an underscore for a travel sequence in a movie. It feels as though there is a mission underway with the journey of strength driving someone. I think this is a great example of an understated melody and much of the composition depending on the improvisation of the certainly able guitarist. Nicely laid out and very usable if you are making a movie or visual piece that begs for a non-orchestral soundtrack supported by a powerful score.

Cool

Not bad. Specially at around 0.41 I would say is my favorite part. There's something about that moment of the track that just feels right with me. Congrats on your production much success to you.

Great Concept!!

Its a great concept that your focusing this instrumental towards film, I can defiantly see this as placement for a scene where someone is riding off into the sunset, or at the end for movie credits great job. Keep up the good work.

'Initius Vale' Review

I enjoy instrumental music just to tell the story. This piece of music has a nice run and a continuous bass line with some nice guitar riffs drum hits. I think there is a nice contrast of added instruments for giving it some variety. There are some nice transitions, It has a nice mellow flow to it. I believe music needs to take you on a journey and keep you interested. Sometimes the unknown is its own journey, just be careful not to take your listeners to far off the path to keep them with you. Overall, I think you have a great piece here. Keep it up!

Kristeen NOLAND Review

Excellent production! Great composer, musical arrangement is most impressive! Synthesizers ,keyboard, piano strings arrangements creating good undertones for emotional orchestral theme.. I love the guitar solo's showing versatility, which adds just the right dynamics to the style and structure of this piece. I have found this to be genuinely entertaining! I would highly recommend this film music for animated films.. Wishing all success..

Kristeen Noland review

Great guitar sound but you lost me with the rest. To me, the piece was way too long and I kept waiting for it to go somewhere but it never did. Very repetitious drums which had no presence. When the guitar came in, the piece came alive for a bit and then died down in the middle after the solo. To me, the piece should have ended there. It just dragged on top of a bland keyboard arrangement. Very 80 ish kind of sound which threw me off completely. I would open up the chord arrangement on the strings to support the guitar a tad more. A bit blunt in the review but just calling it as I hear it. Wish I could say more to help !

Work in progress

It seems like three different pieces. I prefer the guitar solo without the strings and the drums seem to be there just to keep time. Do some work with it as it is worth it wishing you good luck.

I love the guitar on this piece ... it actually ties all the elements of the synth & rhythm all together very nicely. It has an awesome presence & ethereal feeling about it, I like it a lot and have favored it.

Very 80's restaurant sounding. I swear I can hear this in a Jean Claude VAn Dam flashback scene. Didn't wow me tho. The first thing I thought was this doesn't sound American at all. There is money in this sound though.

Review from Barnum's Freak

Very good sound of synth and guitar solo! Even the acoustic guitars are well integrated with the song that overall I feel full of sounds and "full-bodied". I would only note the rhythm section, I do not share completely the choice to use what I guess is a drum machine, takes away a bit of "groove" and the song is in the long run a bit repetitive. I wanted to hear even one synth, as all the sounds of the keyboard I think are excellent! Good work! See you next time. Sergio Vassetti (Barnum's Freal)

Terrific!

Really nicely done, I love the guitar sound and the leads are very tasteful, drums have a good tone to them, I think the song has a very soothing feel to it and even though a bit long it still wasn't boring. I think the mix and production are terrific and I could hear this in a movie track. Keep up the excellent work! Be blessed and have a great day!

Song is good, it has structure and the mix is clean, Too much clean to my taste; general compression to a mix kills the lead guitar sound, difficult job to create a instrumental song that keeps the attention of the listener for more than 2 minutes. After listening to the whole song I can only remember the intro chords but the lead guitar for sure not, that means more effort on create a melody is needed, music in general is a simple business; you create something that all the people like it and then you go from there, but in real life is not easy, you have more than half of the road on that way, please keep up with your gift. Respectfully; El MAGICO.

Great Production

The drums are very powerful and the rhythm section is definitely present. Real smoothe soundtrack. Strings are strong and melodic Organ and Guitar are delivered well. I am a huge fan of the guitar tone. Very tastefully done. If this is to be a track for a score. I can find no flaws with it. Very Admirable Style! ~Ã ₩Ź~

Review of "Initius Vale'

I might be wrong but i don't think this piece has been professionally mastered, and i am assuming that it is also an MP3 i am listening too and not a WAV. There is a need for depth and good use of stereo image within the piece i think. I found the orchestral content quite nice with exceptional guitar playing. All in all i enjoyed listening and wish you much success in the future.

Not bad, it was actually better than I thought it would be. The intro was rather pleasant and not too overwhelming. I strongly believe that you could possibly have a career in the industry of your choice. It's not hard to imagine hearing this during the course of a film or as the credits are rolling. Good luck and don't stop pursuing your dreams.
