Your Fire Burns In Me

Love the lyrics. Especially at this time. A wonderful message. Beautiful song of acknowledgement of Gods power in your life. It expresses how much you love and appreciate your relationship with God. Well done.

Inspiring

This song is effective on many levels. It definitely Spirit inspired as I listened to this I could feel the Spirit move on my heart. The instrumentation is very moving and the supporting vocals are well timed, The baseline is superb, I only with that it was a little more prominent in the mix, but that is just a matter of personal preference. The lyric are easy to understand direct and to the point which is great. I feel the in all reality is a modern psalm that David would be proud to use.

Solid

It is always a pleasure to review a song by Kenny Cable, and "Your Fire Burns in Me" is no exception. The band is exceptional, with bass, drums, pedal steel, fiddle, and guitar all masterfully played, and probably piano way back in the mix too. Love the haunting Western intro, with the fiddle and cello (or is that a baritone guitar of some kind?) playing in unison. The arrangement is sweet, with a drop in energy about halfway through the song, totally in keeping with the words ("whisper"), followed by a big build back into the chorus. And as always, the producer and the mix are spotless. As always, the female vocal harmony is exceptional, form-fitted to the lead and pitch-perfect. Kenny's accessible voice sings words of what appears to be genuine faith. As I mentioned in a previous review, I'm not a big fan of fire imagery in Christian praise songs. It's overdone, and there is a danger of unintentionally invoking images of the fires of hell, rather than the passion of the Holy Spirit, which is what Kenny is going for here. I'm okay with how he uses the image, except for two lines that come right after each other: "Holy Ghost fire consumes me, Power and glory for all to see." First off, a consuming fire is a destructive fire that leaves nothing alive in its path, so I would have liked to see Kenny chose a different word there (like "propels" or "inspires", since it is about going forth into a broken world to bring healing). Second, it sounds like he is saying the power and glory of the Holy Spirit are visible to others through him, which is a bit grandiose, and not in keeping with the verse, which is about going out into a world in need of healing. Feels like he reached for some low-hanging fruit to fill some space. There are plenty of other words that rhyme with "me", so a more carefully thought-out line there would make a better song. I'm being picky here, because everything else about this record and this musical is of such high caliber, I want the songwriting to be up to the same standard. I greatly appreciate the musicians and producers I have been blessed to work with in the studio, and so when I hear another band and producer that's just as good, if not better, my hat is off. Keep on making that sound, in service to the Eternal God!

Awesome tune Kenny, best part of it is as God usually works in my life, I listened to it just when I needed to as I felt the fire was burning low in my heart. I really love the pedal steel and the violins playing in harmony....Just keep pumping out the tunes as this world desperately needs to hear what the possibilities that a heart on fire for the Lord can do. May God Bless You!

Kenny

Your voice is good. The music is overpowering it however. Try to speak more clearly and tone it down. Love the music and lyrics! Country Rock? Not sure about this classification. I would label it Christian Rock or Contemporary Christian.

Hi Kenny, I'm sending you a review because on this song, and it is very good especially for Pentecost Sunday a great tribute to your talent and expression of your passion for Our Lord. BRAVO. On another subject N1M suspended my account temporarily because they claim i have been deleting posts, I have NEVER deleted a post from anyone so there system is either antiquated or all the messages I am sending them are being ignored. Please like one of my songs I posted as we are here for each other. I would think they would want to fix the situation instead of being Judge and Jury especially since WE all are here to have our music careers get exposure. Be Blessed My Brother In Christ

Country

Well performed standard country and that is difficult to make it trustworthy. Nice with five stringed bass. It´s realy not my kind of music, more for alternative stuff but you do well ! So my rating is strictly from a taste view.

Great balance

From the outset the balance in this recording is terrific. Beautiful use of different instruments each having their own moment of praise; slide guitar, fiddle and even the banking vocals. Very nicely thought out production with a terrific message of praise and thanksgiving.

good

Your Fire Burns In Me review. this song is a strictly folk piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in folk style as I said everything recalls the folk genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a folk piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good jo

My thoughts on Your Fire Burns In Me...

The beginning of this song is so inviting - just right - not too long or too short. The rhythm and flow of the song makes you want to tap your foot and sway to the music - really good vibes. The lead vocals have a natural country flavor to them and the lyrics are simple yet powerful - this is definitely a "feel good" song in every way. The chorus - Your Fire Burns In Me - has sweet harmonies that are easy to sing along with - and then the song's music comes down nicely - then crescendos upwards, which make the dynamics fun to take in. The musicianship is top notch and separates this song from other songs that just don't have that great "studio sound!" This song is just ear candy from start to finish - a well crafted song to be sure. This song is what one would expect to hear on any good radio station's air waves... Excellent. Thanks for sharing such a great song with the world! I'm glad I was able to hear it Kenny. Keep sending out your songs - they are fantastic! Your Christian beliefs come through loud and clear. Your Fire Burns in Me

Dear Kenny, What a wonderful witness with this song of the Presence of The Lord and His Fiery Anointing is evident in this song. I love the way you arranged the music for the words to jump into our hearts and set us afire. The percussion is excellent. I don't know what the strings are but I love the country rockabily tone in this genre. And the fiddle is fantastic! The composition is flawless and your voice causes other spirits to soar to His Heavenly Hill and seek this fire you sing of in this song. May The Lord bless your seeds and harvest time with all these songs harvesting a multiplied witness of many hearts to turn back to holiness in Christ. Keep singing to the lost because you are touching many hearts with your heaven sent songs which seem to come from the heart of Jesus for His Brothers and Sisters to be won back home to eternal life.

Hi

I like Your song ..I'm hearing that You put "Your Heart" in to The Vocal part..If You just make arrangement a little better all will be Good..also if You will cut a little the intro for Music Publishers.. as You know They do NOT like to take to much time so You have max 10 sec to "catch" Theirs Ear..I do think some Christian Radio Stations will play This song..You did a Good Job to write and Record It.. I wish You good luck with submissions.. Good Job...
