Was written the first few months of the pandemic in May of 2020. Everything was so uncertain and chaotic. It was hard to consider what the world would be like in two years, much less from one day to the next. There was so much panic and fear mongering. It made me pause to observe the state of our country and world. Our work and livelihoods were drastically affected at this time. Staying home became our way of life in an effort to maintain safety and that seemed to level the playing field; to bring us all together. Between the virus, the isolation, the loss of life, the politics, the environmental changes, and watching the news, everything seemed to be closing in. I felt this was something so much bigger. Our planet had finally had ENOUGH! It was all so overwhelming to process but writing this song helped me cope with the changes. It helped me overcome the fear I felt. We lived through some of the toughest times. We lost people we loved along the way, but we’re still here, showing how resilient we are as humans.
