I know head has been a while however my rehabilitation came to slight stop!! Everything was going super well and I was walking again, became overenthusiastic place my foot incorrectly and broke my leg!! Unfortunately, I will be in plaster for minimum six months!! So, whilst I'm sitting here I thought I would share with you some precious footage from when a childhood dream came true for me!! My greatest love is formed musical theatre and from the age of five (when I saw my first stage musical) I have always dream of being the start in one!! I got that chance in 2001 at the Bacchus Memorial Entertainment Centre in NSW Australia I played Nancy in Oliver and it during the performance I couldn't actually feel my legs below the knees at all. I do apologise most humbly, for not posting anything on my profile for quite some time. You see, I have (I think anyway) a good reason. On the Monday, before I was due to recall my long awaited gospel album "I Blieve", I suffered a catastrophic stroke!!! I am now in full recovery mode. It all happened just over eight months ago. Although, I am now feeding and drinking normally, I can no longer sing at all!!!! I have walked for the first time in eight months last week, this was a Blessed moment.
With all that in mind, it is my unfortunate and most sad duty, to inform you all that I am deleting all of my professional singing profiles. I can no longer afford them as well. My Josephine Lawrence profile on number one (expired link) will cease to exist on Saturday, 12 March 2016. I have been richly blessed by each and every one of you, just by signing up for my newsletters. A childhood dream came true late last year, and early this year, when my home recording of 'Misty' made number one in the world for jazz on four separate occasions!! I will take that knowledge with me for the rest of my life.

Welcome to those of you, who've signed up for a newsletter over the past 3 months. Unfortunately I have been doing rehab (physical), since early July. All ready was I to record my 3rd CD on Wed 8th July, when on Mon 6th July I had a catestrophic stroke!! I'm very slowly on the mend, but I've lost my singing voice. regards Joxxx
My dear friends & listeners. Firstly I wish to wish you all my heartfelt thanks for listening and joining my "fan" list. Being stuck in a wheelchair now for 5 years can be rather depressing however, whilst I have music...I have LIFE!!! To those of you who have recently joined my mailing list, my sincere appreciation. I live on a small parcel of land, 15 km away from the nearest town. Every morning when I log on to (expired link) Iam constantly delighted to see that some new people have been kind enough to join my mailing list. It truly brings me great joy every day, so Bless you all.
I have been undergoing an intensive rehabilitation programme & diet in order to become mobile once more, yes I wish to walk again & stand on stage again to sing. I am exercising daily (mainly in a swimming pool) and I can now walk unaided in the water 500metres & more. There is hope. Whilst battling the heat of an Australian summer, I have been working on my initial Gospel Album, "I Believe". Stay tuned, my first recording will be released hereon (expired link).
I have attached a very special recording of Someone To Watch Over Me, recorded live on my wedding night Saturday September 11th 2004. I hope you like it?
The most amazing and brilliant news is that my recording of Misty has for the 2nd time been No. 1 in the world for Jazz here on (expired link) for 6 whole weeks now. Truly a dream come true. Amazingly it is also number 11 in the world for ALL genres! WOW, I am so delighted. My sincere appreciation.
Once again you all brighten up my life with MS every day.

I am truly humbled and amazed at the reach my recordings have reached around the world. Mostly through my presence at http://www.numberonemusic.com/josephinelawrence Today again 2 songs are in the top 10 for Jazz (Misty is No. 2), 2 others in the top 20 & 6 more in the top 40 with my total presence in the top 100 for Jazz worldwide being 7!! Thank you all for listening . I am endeavoring to record more songs very soon, my long promised Gospel repertoire first of all. Then more classic swing jazz, Then who knows? Any suggestions of what you';d like to hear? Rock, Musical Theatre, folk? I';m fully open to suggestions. :)

I have been away for a short while, and I've just checked as to how Misty was going on the world charts for Jazz. To my great delight, I found that it is comfortably sitting in the top 40...at 26!!! Life is good. Bless you all for listening. love Josephine :)

I wish to say aheartfejt hanyou for supporting my quest to have my voice heard again. As you may have read, I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which stopped my performing career short at the age of 32. I can no longer perform live, but can still sing. So the onkly platform I can sing on is via websites such as this one and reverbnation. I will be recording more songs very soon, which will be added to my website (expired link) and the other sites mentioned. God Bless you for your support.

Performed from the age of 5, dancing, singing and acting. Had a successful career in Sydney during late 1980s to late 1990s until (expired link). took it ALL away, now regained my voice and recording at home. Personal Journey with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
In April 1999, I was officially diagnosed with MS. Since then I have fought to regain strength enough to sing again. I have been battling symptoms since early 1997 (expired link). extreme fatigue/ muscle weakness/ paralysis & at times loss of voice & vision. It is a daily fight, one wich I will never let beat me. With the help of my husband Peter, preservative/ chemical free food; living in a natural environment ( our Straw Bale home), Faith and a positive attitude, I am gradually gaining strength...my voice is back 100%. :)
Below is a snapshot of my career prior to & after diagnosis.
I was born into a family of performers. My mother entertained troops in England during WWII, and appeared in Pantomines after the war. My father sang all his life, in many venues as a Bass/ Baitone.
Naturally I was thrust onto a stage at the age of 5 - dancing and singing. I won a multitude of awards in talent quests & Eisteddfods during my teenage years in all of my performing passions playing brass, singing and acting.
