Hello to all you wonderful music lovers around the world and are following my music journey. I'm so humbled by the way the subscribers list continues to grow. I'm sending you all a huge shout out thank you.
Well the gig bookings are startling to come in for me this year and its so great to be able to sing live again making new friends and reconnecting with old ones.
Australian entertainment is back to about 85%, I attended a Country music festival last Saturday with 5,000 others and was covid safe of course. It was so great to see everyone enjoying themselves again.
My not so good news is my backing band folded. First the drummer left then the bass Guitarist broke his leg and then while we were rehearsing with the fill in drummer the lead guitarist was bitten on his hand by a dog and had to have an operation and won't be able to play for a very long time . It seems it wasn't meant to be so I'm going solo. I'm being booked as special Guest artist at the Country Music Clubs which I enjoy.
The very good news is Marion my music collaborater and I finally got to attend a 4 day song writers retreat as it was postponed 3 times due to Covid. Anyway we have had 3 of our songs edited and one new song we had the great privilege of co writing with a multi award winning Golden Guitarist which is the biggest award in Australian Country music in Australia. We are planning on releasing the new song as a single later this year. We will be working on writing more songs for an album we will hopefully release this time next year. So lots of work and good times ahead with writing rehearsing studio & recording.
