It's not over

Good song it flows nicely, good production and your vocals fit it nicely they could be just a touch more prominent in the mix with a little more treble to the whole mix to make it a little more clear. But all and all a good song and nice recording.

sound nice, wish I could hear it

The overall construction of the song appears to be pleasant, but it is very hard to peel thru the layers covering it up. Since it appears to be a mix and master issue, I would like to take a moment to point some things out that could possibly help. first, the vocal should be front and center. Try a little light compression and if any time based effects are desired, use them very little and pan the effect hard right and left, not dead center. Also apply some compression to the bass guitar and the kick, and mix just under the vocal, Next, remove the guitar solo track, it is consistently flat or pitchy and detracts from the track. Continuous soloing over the vocal only detracts from them, and especially when its so out of tune, it creates an unwanted tension in the music. Keep the mix clean, pan your guitar, bass and Key tracks to create separation, and I think it will benefit. Also, the canned applause makes one feel like they're watching a rerun on happy days, one would be happier not hearing it as it adds nothing to the song and really fools nobody.

It's Not Over review

This particular song has a really good feel to it as well as an excellent melody line. You have taken the song's melody to many different areas that all work well with each other. The rhythm guitar has a wonderful tone to it as it carries the song through. This is one of those songs that is put together well but would probably not be appreciated by today's industry 'pros?'... But it has all the factors of a well written song and you should be proud of that. Keep writing and good luck.

A Passion-felt performance

I gave it 4 stars only because it was a bit difficult to hear the vocals clearly, other than that this is A passion-filled/felt song that in my opinion is a great song. I especially like the inspirational chorus that encourages listeners to hold on because its not over, great concept great song.

LIVE! yes bro.... love live recorded tracks... This sounds like something from the 70's... a bit of Heuwey Lewis but better and Joe Cockeren... sorry bro... i am horrable with names and i am sure that i messed up the spelling of those two... i will have to listen to this again... it's not over.. . Your music is very beautiful and simple but most of all innovative and unique. All the big-ticket artists could learn a thing or two from your stuff. take us back once in a while and drop all of the fancy million dollar production mookey da moe... you just need a great melody, good lyrics, a hook and currage... i'm a fan bro and if i'm ever up in canada (On parole) {Kidding] i'm looking you up... all kidding aside, well Mr. Saucier.. did I say "I"? i meant "WE"...

Just a Touch of Yacht Rock

The opening of this track reminds me of a classic Rolling Stones-style song. The verse lines sound so familiar, relaxing, and smooth. When the chorus comes up it is very reminiscent of Roy Orbison. I am not sure of your influences but I can definitely hear some great classic FM Rock influences throughout. Nice work.

A&R review

The song needs to be mixed better and vocals need to be arranged better overall I like the song but it can be stronger with the vocals mixed properly alongside that the production is standard no break done to get the song flowing.. it's just riding the track my opinion.

Nice feel to it.

Song has a great feel to the display of the whole band. The lyrics are inside the music but not so deep they are get lost. The emotional context comes through easily and feels very dancable. Good drum track. Best of luck with your tunes. Thanks for sharing for review.

Very nice

Nice arrangement , the words and vocals sound good. Like the style and the guitars sound nice. I do think the lead vocal needs to come up a bit more in the mix but overall sounds really great .

A Fine Song

There is nothing wrong with this song. Nice and melodic with competent instrumentation. The only bad part is the muffled sound of the vocals, I find it difficult to understand what is being sung although I understand this is a live recording and vocals are difficult to capture live. Keep up the good work.

Nice Rock based Love Song

This time I start with the songtext. The unique vocals of John tells a story which reminds me of one own situation in some relationship. The lyrics come from the soul and the chorus touching the heart. Great accompanying acoustic guitar and perfect played guitar solos completes the performance. This extra factor makes the song creative and lively. Overall really perfect drums, but the bass is unfortunately little soft in this recording. This song is influenced by pop and rock music and I can´t stop listen. I´m sure you will like add him. Let others know your recommendation.

A Canadian making big-stage American rock style music !!

A classic blend of acoustic and electric overdriven guitars, lead by a rusty lead voice well-suited for rock ballads, John Anthony Saucier delivers a catchy tune. Listening to this catchy and melodic rock song I was taken back to Bruce Springsteen's 1980s music, even the Alan Parsons Project and some of Billy Joel's rock oriented efforts, not that the song sounds "derived" not at all - it's just that its spirit is definitely classic american rock, and to guys at my age this comes with a package of memories. If I must find a fault with this piece it would be technical - the balance in the recording is sub-optimal and the whole thing could benefit from some fine tuning or a decent "mix" (the recording sounds like it was taken in a live performance). However - this is really a bit nit picky. So, to sum up - if you are into classic rock - you are VERY likely to like and enjoy this one!
