Come To Me

My Tunes Volume 2 Track 3

Song Reviews

Country Rockin

I'm not a "Country" guy but I did like this song. It's melodic and I liked the solo. It's sounds like it was recorded live. All in all its a cool tune.I don't know if John is singing but the singer has a breathy rasp to his voice.

Hammond and Cheese

Opening line on a Hammond could be promising, but once the cheesy canned crowd noise appears we all know where this is going. Snare is forefront in the mix, bass and vocals buried either behind or with too much compression and effect. Again, one would point out that starting your mix with the snare, kick and bass is ALWAYS a good place to start. By all means start with the keys upfront, but then bring them back when the vocals enter. Get rid of the laugh track applause, it adds nothing and fools nobody, and bury the guitar solo line, and possibly stop the overuse of the bent note outro. There are a number of mixing tutorials out there, and One would think that for someone that writes as prolifically as this artist does, they would want to spend a little more time on putting out a more professional sounding product.

Come To Me

Definitely could do without the applause on the track OR make it sound more realistic. The song is strong without that. Trust Me. Love the guitar hooks. Memorable. The chorus works, the song fits your voice and energy. Very catchy. Well done!

Come To Me review

After reviewing several of your songs, this one is possibly the best one you have submitted. The entire idea and structure of it has the most commercial appeal you have ever sent in. Your mix is very simple and clear, opening up a venue for your vocals to be heard right out front. You have excellent harmonies to compliment the lead and a very nicely done guitar signature line. I would still like to not be hearing the canned applause but all in all, a very well written song. Nicely done.

authentic and fresh

Sparsely and reduced instrumentation, passionately and emotionally played and sung, rocking shuffle with great guitar sound, raw and very suitable voice for the song! I'm sure that John will go down really well live and captivate the audience. Bravo, keep it up!

Come To me

Although this isnt really my favoroite genre or style, this i a well crafted song that is musicaly tight and it has momentum and conviction. It has some good strong guitars and the vocal is strong too.It sonds well produced and polished. Send it to a radio station?

hi

hi Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young. Thanks and good luck!

Quite the mix!

A blend of classic rock, with a real blues feel as well. I the live venue feel is great, almost makes me think of ZZ Top, or at least influenced. Definitely a song to get your foot tapping! I like the equalization of the track, although at times the crowd is a little overpowering versus the music. I really like this song, the only suggestion I'd make is at the end, instead of a fade out of track, fade out the music; and leave the crowd/vocals interacting with the crowd. It would give it that real Recorded Live feel.... Keep up the great work!

This Song Matters!

Nice guitar intro, song structure is perfect, i think it will sound excellent if the song (every track) is well recorded in a studio in order to give an overall of clearence to the elements. Artistic part: Good!, Technical part: Lets do this! :D

COUNTRY COMES TO THE CITY

This is a real solid sound for what sounds like a live! performance to me it seems good for the country scene of today like rock comes to country very today music on the country scene. Guitar riffs are really great words a little jumbled but that's what makes a hit sound. You seem to be very experienced at what you do. I recommend this as a future counry rock hit. Well done PC

Enjoyable Live-Recording

Great music starts off with engaging rhythm and this song is really remarkable. Pleasant organ sound and great played rock-guitar theme making the intro. I like the drummer how he simplifies the "kick-stuff" in the refrain still concentrated on the point. Sounds simple especially in the fill´s, but this extra factor brings more power into the song. John has a very dynamic rock voice and the chorus make the meaning about a lady with extraordinary attributes in this song engaging for me. Overall cool track! A quintessence of Rock inflenced from Pop music. I´m sure, you will like to add him.
