Mister Pacifier Man review

Let's go back in time when so much of the music coming out had a definite blues influence to them. Here we are again with this one you have submitted for review. It's always an easy thing to listen to but there isn't much need for the basic blues approach like this one. What would be a better path for this would be to try and take it in a different direction with some unusual chord changes or just a different approach that the standard blues progression. Make this one unique for the listener. Give it a different twist so that it stands out rather than becoming the same old thing that has been done so many times before. Take this one back and think out the chords and how you could get it a little more outside the box. Good luck!

Strong effort!

Really enjoyed this! A great song with a solid grove and strong lyric content.. Love the guitar work being that guitar is my main instrument. Love the grind in the vocals but they need a light amount of effects to bring them into to the mix better. All in all nice mix & strong effort.

Lots of feeling in this vocal

I really like the vocal on this old school sounding blues track.the instrumentation of bass drums guitar and keyboard really round out the classic blues sound. There are some timing glitches but not enought to take away from the ripping guitar track. The keyboard part is simple but well thought out and does not conflict with the rest of the arrangement Overall with a bit of tightining up of the rythm section this could be a 5 star hit. Best wishes on your future projects

Blues

I love classic blues. I love the rithm, the pathos and the profound inspiration to joy at the same time. Yes, seems it all comes on a midi base in background, nice rough guitars that accompany you throughout the listening of the song. The voice is just it and reminds me a don't know what of Eric Clapton singing, not his guitar. In fact the solo guitar arrangements are not as good as the voice and this doesn't mean that's a junky attempt to make it better. You have to work a lot on your solo guitar, I'm sure the product will get better, giving a professional imprinting. Keep it up with your job, well done so far. Good luck.

Blusey...Nice!

When it first starts out it's already a go. I don't get tired of blues in the current market of electric and ultra pop. The guitar gets a little busy at times. Less is more in blues. Play like you're talking inbetween phrases. Then drive it home at the end of the song. I liked your voice and the words fit with traditional blues music. The production is decent and sounds okay on cellphone speakers as well. Keep up the good work!

Review of mister pacifier man

What a joy to check out a song by John Saucier from the first drum beat to the screaming blues guitar and actually sounds like duals licks plucking out the message and being preformed live just drove the tune up the levels of greatness, John as usual did his thing on the vocals and rasped out the message and friends you will have to listen a second and maybe a third time because it grows on you! So much jammed in this tune hard to catch it all first time around.! Great performance! Thanks for asking for a review! I would list this song as blues rocking country low down and dirty toe stamping music, you will like the vocals and every instrument laid out there! You nailed this one!

John Anthony. Saucier

I like the tune. Sounds a bit over compressed though. I would clear out the mid range some and that will help. Instruments are cool and I like the lyrics. I like your voice too. Keep them coming

Saucier Gets Saucy with his blues!

Here is some blues out of Canada. The lyrics are conceited and sexist, which is appropriate for a blues song. There's also a lot of hot guitar playing on this track. Blues normally isn't my thing, but I like this track, and it's worth a good listen!

Impressive Blues-Rock

The song starts off with engaging blues guitar which are playing the main role in this recording. Additional instruments like hammond organ and acoustic guitar in the backing make the song complete. The intro sounds like a story and J.A. Saucier is talented to give an account in words about someone or something, including all the relevant characteristics, qualities, or events. The track is overall good recorded. It´s a quintessence of blues music in rock style. This crucial factor makes the song engaging for me. Great played solos carry the song and I´m sure you will likely add him. Let others know your recommedation.

Mr Pacifier Man

I love live blues rock. I sure hear a lot of early British blues rock here (Beck, Clapton, Page). This track is played well. I like the old overdriven guitar sound. Nice overall jog with this project. Blues rock is alive & well. I look forward to hearing more from John!

To the Point

Has a nice rough edge to the song that i dig .. sweet harmony on the lead guitar .. has a smooth laid back groove ... you are right to the point brother :-) ... You keep jamming we all will keep listening God bless

Blues rock with character voice

An honest, straightforward blues rock number. Nothing wrong with that. It loses a few brownie points on the artificial drums, but the vocals breathe life into it. A real character voice. Think Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen. Would be great to hear this done with a real, gritty flesh and blood band.

Not too bad

I have no idea what he is on about and have never heard of such a person. Nevertheless, despite his three names, he gives the song a very good feel to it. The backing music is just right, if not very original - except for the percussion, which is unnecessary and annoying. I think Mr Saucier could do really well with the right song song and suggest he checks out The Prisoners' Songbook (iTunes, CD Baby etc) where he would be welcome to use anything that takes his fancy. I wish him all the best.

Mister Pacific Man

This John Anthony tune 'Mister Pacific Man', is the first i have heard of John's music, and i enjoyed the track a great deal as well, a nice dirty blues song, nice gritty guitar and vocals,The song is kinda on the long side coming in at over 5.5 minutes, but it has nice solo work and didn't become boring, the sound was a bit down on my player and i wonder if the track has been mastered. All in all rounded and as i said nice and gritty, i can hear most instruments except the drums, but that could be my machine or the lack of mastering, and the balance seems ok, vocals out front where they should be. Ialso like the timbre of the voice All the playing that i could hear was executed nicely and I look forward to hearing more tunes from John Anthony Saucier in the future and in fact more Canadian music in general

Raw Power

This contains a lot of raw energy, and is real moving. The song overall is well instrumented. I was impressed that the recording was of really good quality, A the is a good job done by your sound guy. The lead vocal remind me a lot of Eric Clapton's aproach which fits very well with this piece. I love the lead guitar work very much. However I hear a little bit of a timing issue with the lead guitar line and the vocals. There are points in the performance at which both of these part compete with each other for attention rather than work together. The guitar was rocking, had you can hear the passion, it commanded a lot of attention in spots where the focus should has been on the vocals. When the leads vocal is going on, the lead guitar needs to step to the back ground a little bit more. This just needs a minor adjustment there. Playing live is always a challenge because your emotions goes into over drive as the show goes on. Your bass line is very strong too, I think that it need to come a little to the forefront in the mix. All in all, I have got to say very well done. Very well done in deed.
