By coincidence, March 27 is National Joe Day. It is obscure how this day started, but it is a day when you can call anyone Joe or Jo. Of course, I am partial to any day that celebrates 'Joe.' You can celebrate with a cup of Joe and Sloppy Joes, although I think I might prefer a beer with mine.
By the way, here is a great healthy recipe for Sloppy Joes by beautidiva.
And make sure that you are wearing your Joe/Jo tee shirts. It's just a fun thing to do.

Trust in Me
For those who have not seen me in a while, I have been busy on a few projects. One, of which, is losing weight. Still working on it, and happy to say that I have lost 40 pounds so far. If you want to see the new me, you can catch me at the upcoming events below.
More projects are in the works in Las Vegas with Bruce Merrin and Atlanta with Chari Stanley Leitch. It is very exciting. We are putting the team together for this fantastic show that has me singing great songs and performing magic in a storytelling fantasy, expanding the illusionAria concept. Of course, funding is always an issue.
It has been a wonderful journey; and I want to thank you all for your kindness, encouragement and support. Your support is appreciated more than you know.

Make-a-Wish Atlanta - Sep 18
Of course, I will be performing my music and magic show at Maggiano's in Buckhead, Georgia on September 18th. The Make-a-Wish Foundation's mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. I am happy to support such a worthy. I am so honored to be a small part of this effort. The cost of the event is $40 per person. All proceeds will go to benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia. I usually describe my music as classic, romantic ballads. And being the month of romance, I would like to show appreciation and love to all the friends and fans who have been so encouraging. The journey is the reward - singing and performing is definitely what I enjoy. The reward is being able to do something that I love, and hopefully to bring some joy and entertainment into the lives of others.
Thank you so much for being such great supporters. The world needs more people who support each other and are positive. As the quote goes, the world needs more encourages; we have plenty of critics already.

I am a dramatic tenor with a love of magic. I have performed with symphony orchestras and in concert all over the world; but my love of magic has allowed me to combine the two. My latest project, illusionAria (tm) has already premiered and is getting ready for a road tour. Lots of good things happening thanks to all the wonderful support and encouragement from the fans. About Joe Spinella, Tenor of Illusions
Spinella is a classically trained tenor soloist/performer, whose diversified repertoire includes classical crossover, musical theater and romantic songs. He is a dramatic tenor with a love of magic. Spinella is a tenor of the 21st Century and is best known for his charismatic live performances. He performs with orchestras such as the Israeli Philharmonic, Macedonia Radio Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Sarasota Orchestra and others. He sings in six languages and his repertoire includes songs in Italian, Spanish, English, German and French.
Spinella was awarded a scholarship to Manhattan School of Music in New York City. A few years ago, he was discovered by Paul Nadler, one of the Metropolitan Opera conductors and was invited to work with Metropolitan Opera coaches in NYC. This began his regular sessions with Joan Dorneman, who was also Luciano Pavarotti's vocal coach for thirty years.
Spinella has participated in Master Classes with Birgit Nielsen, Eleanor Steber, and Regina Resnik. His tenor voice quality was described by Princeton's weekly newspaper, Town Topics, as "a solid Metropolitan Opera level performer."
