About Sally

This is very deep, mind touching and something to just chill and vibe to... I really like how the instrumental comes in in the beginning. It reminds me of cold play but you have your own flow... I'm subscribing!

A Timeless Song

A Short Song About Sally, but not too short, is so very pleasing to the ears. Filled with sentiment and imagery not only in the lyrics but in the variety of instrumentation. It has a timeless quality and leaves one wanting more.

Indigo Review

I think this track is really chill kind of reminds me of some 70's rock that I would listen to at a coffee shop like a really good feeling haha I like the way you change up the tone of your voice and the guitar just rides perfect. The end where it gets loud and the drums and tambourine come into play is really cool I think I would love to see it in concert. Good luck and Always strive

Half as good

This is the second song I've reviewed for this artist now where the song starts off very soft then has a crescendo moment. Like the title says it's a short song and I'm confused why you basically are blowing off half of your song? When it gets strong it's very good and I can hear the great voice that you have and can understand the lyrics being sung. I don't know if you start all your songs off like this, maybe your trademark? I don't know but to be honest it's awkward and almost sounds like when recording somebody in the studio fell asleep then wakes up just in time to increase the volume. I basically heard only half this song the part heard was very good~

A Short Review!

This is a beautiful song Jeffrey, with emotive lyrics. I really enjoyed listening and again love the instrumentation you have got in there. I love the way the beat lifts up in the second verse and then the surprise of the song ending before you expect it to. But then maybe it shouldn't be that unexpected as the title does say that it's a short song!! :) It ends suddenly as you are getting into it and then makes you want to hear more- or to go back and play it again! I hope whoever Sally is is proud of the song :)

My Review

Hi There, It is really appreciated to listen truthful songs like this. I particularly enjoy the the vocals a lot, and the peace that the song brings to me. I'm here to encourage you, to keep writing songs that comes from your soul, and if one day you want to collaborate, me as a producer would be glad to do something with you. Keep up. Love music, Chris

Great Song

Jeffrey David's "A Short Song About Sally," isn't that short. Having said that, it isn't of epic length either. Jeffrey David skillfully uses dynamics to create a crescendo not only with volume intensity and production techniques, but also with very beautifully played instrumentation and arrangements. The song efficiently moves linearly from a dark acoustic guitar and soft vocals into a full orchestration with strings and an elect-pop drum beat. Good job!

Sally

Hi there Jeffrey just played your track and the following comments are meant with good will.. I don't know if it's this site but it did seem low in volume which is a pity really because we enjoyed the ambiance and feel..Is there anyway you may be able to add a touch of volume to the original master..We still enjoyed though and it was sung from the heart bless

Just a perfect love song

I really enjoyed this. I like the sharp edges of the voice over the clean acoustic rythm guitar. In the beginning i would have put the solo chimes a little softer, but this is just about tastes. The song is perfect and i will put it in my playlist.

Very Nice

Cool lyrics, melody and arrangement. Vocal pitching and production (mixing and mastering) could be improved. I'd introduce drums and bass earlier or repeat something to have a larger part with all the instruments. It feels like it ends too soon. Great song overall. I hope this helps!

Folk song

In my french ears, this song sounds pretty cool. Singing is very soft and nice and could remind songs you listen to during a travel by train when it's rainning ... so this is a very nice atmosphère. Well done Jeffrey !

Good sound

I like your voice and the sound. My only suggestion would be to record a live string player, in order to get the musicality that can't be captured by orchestra samples. I have trouble with the challenge of limited resources as well, so I can relate. I really like how this song builds as it progress. The lyrics are quite romantic and I'm sure many women will swoon when you perform this live.

GOOD STUFF

Thank you for the opportunity of letting me review your song. i think that you definately have a great sound. It has a soft, soothing sound with your instruments. Im a city guy and don't usually listen to this type of music, but i do have an open mind for different sounds. I think your sound is unique and you should keep pushing it to the limit. There are plenty of people that can relate to this type of sound. Maybe midwest would be a great geographic area that you should promote to. Keep making music from the soul and you should find your triumph. good luck and stay blessed.

A Short Song About Sally - Jeffrey David

A Short Song About Sally by Jeffrey David is a whimsical narrative imaginative storytelling ode reminiscent of beatles esque influences also jose gonzales I liked its imaginative descriptive story :)

Beautiful track!

Dark and beautyful, nice build up of the track. Sound and production fits the song but I would have prefered an even more rougher dirty sound at the end of the song. It gets a bit to happy in the end and the sound of the drums really doesn't fit.

Vitamines for the ears

Really sweet song. It reminders me a bit of music from Tinderstick, if you know them. The music and lyrics are originale and sounds natural. Just the it should be. Never get bored, but become more intresting when i'am listening more offen.

A Pleasant Listen.

Reminds me a little of The Kinks. It is happy and almost melancholy, all at once, if that is possible. It is rare that I will listen to a whole song when searching for new music, This one I did, and it has enticed me to listen to more!

good song

The mix is very polished. i really like the sound of the vocals and the build of the tune. i would like to know what you used on the vocal mix ? The song could of been a little bit longer. great job!
