Where I Used to Have a Heart

Great song. Nice mix of vocals. Loving that fiddle & pedal steel. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff. I think the reverb on the vocals is a tad too much. All in all your song has a great mix & a pro sound.

Excellent

The first five star review i have left on this site. The production is clear and sharp, the songs structure is well thought out with good lyrics. The arrangement of the instrumentation is particularly well considered and the track builds very nicely engaging the listener. I particularly enjoyed the vocal and pedal steel. This is a professional track with good commercial viability i'm sure it will do well for you and it is certainly worth pursing sync opportunities for. Very impressed.

This Is A Really Nice Song With A Really Beautiful Messagw For Everyone in Our Mad world!!

A lovely song about loss and love to which everyone can relate either because you have experienced a romantic loss or if after the madness of the past three years it is a different kind of loss this song will connect with you. The song is stylistically superficially country but it also atraddles several genres which is always good because then it will connect further than a simple one gere song. I really liked it and I;m sure you will too!! Thumbs up!!

Country Star Song

After listening to this beautiful, flowing piece, who's melody danced daintily across my eardrums like the ballerina of music, I saw everything differently. This piece finally opened my eyes to the reality of this world, and that reality is that everything is a acoustic guitar combined with a viola. Absolutely electrifying! The way the diatonic super-harmony was buried beneath a timbre-less multi-cadence of post-productional half steps which were proportionally matched with enharmonic hemiolas extracted from a major median reduction was absolutely brilliant! I loved how the composer reversed the staggered timbre. There is only one thing: For my taste there is too much reverb on the voice.

Soulful ballad

This is a beautifully written soulful country ballad, with some lovely arrangements - particularly like the use of strings which is sensitive and tugs on the emotions. The vocals are strong, and rich in emotion. Overall this has a really professional feel. Well done.

It's country like it's supposed to.

Hi Tonya, Nice start with that acoustic guitar. Well recorded. I hear a real country type voice. A bit heavy on the reverb in my opinion, which is okay later on in the song, when there is more going on. Beautiful 'building' the arrangement with incoming piano and slide-guitar and drums. A nice taking back into the new verse. In the latter part I would like to hear more of the harmony voices, although the "choire-part" after that is very nice. All in all I enjoyed the song, though not blown away by it. Very good recording in its style. Wish you all the best, with regards, Ronn van Etten

Where I Used To Have A Heart

Nice country ballad this one. The singer sounds good. Maybe the piano is a bit too much in the front in the mix and I would love to have the vocals a bit more "up close" Besides that I really like the track

Love the strings

Great voice and the melody line is very nice. The Strings are beautiful and the piano is very suttle and spacious. The Harmonies work very well. The slide guitar is a nice break in the solo section. Very cool thanks.

Nice!

I like the production sound and the vibe of the track along with the originality. I can feel the heart in this showing you put in some dedicated work on the art. I love the lyrics the feelings are real! I can dig it!!! Sounds like the studio vibe was awesome . More artist should study the roots of their culture of art more to be better at their own art. Keep up the good work and stay in the lab creating new material to stay fresh and on your toes. If you're ever looking for a hip hop collaboration hit me up I'm versatile. Peace!

A good country song

Stumbled across the song " Where I Used to Have a Heart" to day. The song is a heartfelt performed song about a broken relationship that of course can be said on so many words. The recording is of a very good quality and the instrumentation is perfect for this song. The lead vocal has a warm and close feel and the total mix is well balanced. So take a listen folks ! It´s not often you hear songs of this quality on this page. -Kris

what a mix!

Tina Turner meets the Dixie Chicks with Alison Krauss on the side. What soulful singing! TJ nails it with a hammer and screws it down tight. I think this is a "must hear" for our time. It's found a place on my playlist!
