Zefiri – Flute and Clarinet in Bb Recording: Alessio Alberghini (flute) and Alessandro Restivo (Clarinet in Bb) Zefiro is the west wind of spring. I wrote the piece during Spring. In my view, the two instruments, musical winds, bring a positive message. The piece is in 3 Movements. The germinating idea is in the final section of the third movement, then I developed the music backward, working on the rhythmic cells of the original idea. It mainly focuses on rhythm, but containing many melodic moments as well. I love the sound of both the instruments and I tried to create some beauty balancing the dialog between the two.
