Gail Best song LOVE THE WORLD AWAY delivers a beautiful emotion about what love is and what it could be. Backed by simple piano and light strings her vocal and conviction carries the load. And the lyrics aren't too sappy. Just a real reminder and she's not talking to the world, just an intimate one on one. Great song.

Good intro, recording quality is fair, but the vocals are lacking reverb or effect, and the track doesn't appear to have been compressed and mastered professionally either. The mix overall for me is too dry. It needs to be warmer with the sophistication that you are implying here. I would ask you to review the first verse lyric where you sing "day" within a few stanzas..., (yes, it's like that); too much repetition always stands out in a distracting way. We have to be so concise, fresh, and spot on to be solid song or lyric writers. In the second verse the lyrics were becoming predictable.The bridge is not strong because the verses weren't lyrically strong. You could have an easy bridge, such as "So Close...," etc.; but you need the lyrics to pull you in or the melody to subtly hold you. It is essential for the bridge to take you down a different and complimentary road. Right now it appears that you haven't pulled on the acumen and verbiage that you have access to in your intellect and vocabulary. What I am saying is that I know you could do better here. Never settle for "good enough". Go for the best. Be as unique as you want to be. Look at "Bernie Taupin", Carole King", "Jimmy Webb", "Paul Simon's" lyrics. That is where you want to be writing at. Don't settle for less. With the vocals, you may consider warming up before you record. It feels flat at times when you ascend and your breath isn't supporting as you follow through. Please consider arpeggios, octave, and diaphragm exercises. You are closing up and singing from the chest. You may consider a few more bars of music at the end. A type of musical summation is needed because as of now it just stops. Listen to "Billy Joel's" endings. There is no payoff here for the listener and no money notes. The outre feels like it wants to go somewhere such as your intro. I believe you have the right ideas but it feels like a work in progress. \"Raindrops fall on the windowpane"; great metaphor. Nice voice good tone but one thing to sing soul music . You have to dig deep and put that feeling out of you. Nice song you have some thing. but you really have to work for some thing that you love.

Nice slow beginning with the piano. The Recording is not of the best quality. The piano has a good sound and the synth in the background sound ok. The singing is out of tune sometimes but the song has a good feeling inside it. I think you need to do a real studio recording on the song with more quality that lift the song. The lyrics sounds nice but the singing needs to be redone and in tune with the song. /LaSueede

Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the piano work.Think solo break to step away from vocals for a short period. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way.
