French Sumo was originally founded in 1996 to keep the flame of a repertoire mixed by different influences like Jazz Mainstream, Swing ( Monty Alexander, Oscar Peterson ),Latin Jazz ( Michel Camilo, Sonny Rollins ) and french standards ( Michel Legrand, Claude Nougaro, Gilbert Bécaud )
They give to this mix their own flavor, sensibility and energy, coming from their roots of méditerranéan islands
