I think the music is great, I think this guy should have more recognition for his work. We need radio stations in the world that recognizes great talent when they hear it. This country rap has got to go. or at least don't call it country.

Francois Spannenburg has already garnered some serious notoriety and righteous reviews for his hellacious harmonica antics. Well, this isn't one of his sizzling instrumentals like I thought it might be, it's a full blown cover of that Smokey Mountain Moonshine classic "Rocky Top". This lightning fast cover starts out with Francois's blazing on a harmonica solo then kicks in with the full band complete with vocal harmonies. From the twangy telecaster to the country fried fiddle solo this song is a real roller coaster ride all the way to through to the end where Francois tags it with one of his signature licks. Viva "Rocky Top"!

The Rocky Top (Harmonica version) is a very interesting take on this song. I love the harmonica, and I like the way the musicians have played their instruments. It's well mixed and a good party song. I like it.

Lung Power. I've always been Amazed with the fiddle playing of Rocky Top, but this is Totally Over the Top. Awesome job on Harmonica. I hope to see You Tour in America . God Bless and keep it up.

This is a really good cover of a classic bluegrass song. The harmonies were excellent and the harmonica was off the charts good job by all involved, excellent work. Give this one a listen, you will not be disappointed.

I am a musician myself and I know how difficult it is and how much practice it takes to stay in time and play clean at this tempo. I love how the harmonica takes over the fiddle part and plays perfect fills. This guy is really magic. The song is well covered and above all the band managed to impress their own style. I really would like to see this band live, I guess it would be big fun.

Fab!

Love everything about this, perhaps except the vocals which don't really seem to have that Americana type inflection. The harmonica solos are fab, and really bring this alive. Has a really fast tempo which keeps propelling the song along. Further into the song there appears to be some really nuanced cross picking guitar strings, and would have been nice to have heard a little more guitar. But have to say loved the fiddle part too, but again for me a nice blistering guitar solo at the end would have made this a five star track!

Hi

I must say this is not Your Best Song.. Yes The Harmonica part is GREAT but everything else is a little to "short" for Me.arrangement is to plain and I wish a better Vocal Part ( I'm sure that You catch that some notes are of ( The Tune and need to be corrected )..as it is is Ok to play Life at The Concerts but ( is just my opinion ) The Radio Stations will not pick it to the rotation . and it will be hard to pitch it to Music Publisher..I wish You a good luck..I hope You will make it Better...

Rocky top is a classic and these guys infuse it with energy and verve. You know the solo's and arrangement are going to be right on and everything builds up to the blues harp that blows the lid right off the room. Nice syncopated stops in the solo and all in all a barnburner. Got to get out see these guys live as they bring a fresh approach to the classics. Great job guys and keep rocking those blues and banging out those killers solo's. Awesome job, tons of energy and I enjoyed every riff and lick!

Hi again Francois. Man, you make it so hard to fill out the reviews. You rock it consistently. However, in this one, would you consider tightening up your harmonies? They were significantly flat through all the choruses. They just didn't match the quality of the lead singer and all the instruments; unless that was the feel you were going for. ;) Although I absolutely love bluegrass, I really liked your rock version of the song. Keep knockin them out of the park my friend. Sorry dude, but I could only give you a 4.5 out of 5 for the harmonies. Everything else was perfect. :) Blessings, Trev
