A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN / REV.21:21-25
Greetings to everyone near & far,
Wow! Fall is now here in Michigan and the colors are amazing! My wife and I went to see our new grand daughter and the trees and leaves are displaying the awesome creative majesty of our Creator. I hope wherever you are - you're enjoying the Fall season. We have been going to local Apple Orchards and enjoying cider donuts and cider and just walking around and enjoying being outside. The masks are slowing coming off people's faces and people are starting to get back to normal life since the virus has shut down most of America. I pray this pandemic ends soon for our nation, please pray that it comes to an end soon.
I'm sharing a song today: A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN - that looks forward to the day when all followers of Jesus Christ will finally be with God and all the saints through the ages - I'm talking about heaven! Having that hope - that expectation is something to keep us focused on our destination - our home in heaven. That is something to get excited about - and something to share with other people who may think this earth is all there is... if that were the case - that would make anyone depressed. Wars, disease, violence, corruption, and extreme weather conditions are never ending and bad news seems to be all we hear day in day out. The good news is - THIS IS NOT OUR HOME.
We are just pilgrims on a journey - a trip that ultimately will take us to heaven, for those of us who follow the teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ. We have good days and we have bad days - but for those of us who know this is not our permanent dwelling place - we don't allow ourselves to love this world. 1 JN.2:15 - We just press on towards the prize.
We have to set our minds on heavenly things - on spiritual things - things above and not here below. Col.3:2 Anything in our lives can become an idol: money, material possessions, people, even ourselves - which is absurd if you think about that. That being said, we are constantly in a spiritual war for our affections - for our devotion - and our love. The reward for those who choose to commit their lives to God - to Jesus Christ; and are faithful to the end - is to spend eternity in heaven with God forever. Now that dear friends is a goal worthy of our passion and total commitment. I encourage you to begin to imagine what heaven will be like - what we will be doing, and what our lives will be like when we are finally free from the presence of evil and temptation. We are told that it will be beyond our wildest imagination:
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Finally, let me thank all of you who've subscribed to my site here on N1M - I appreciate all of you and thank God that some of my songs have connected with you... Thanks for sharing my songs with other people on your social media sites. Recently, the number of people visiting my site here on N1M - went over 12,000,000 - and that I can say with all honesty - is all because of God.
