About Ester Bogdanov

Ester Bogdanov is an Estonian singer-songwriter who accompanies herself on a guitar. She has been writing songs since she was 7 years old. During her teens she wrote hundreds of songs. However, she decided to enter the university where after some years of trying different areas she ended up studying Philosophy and English Philology (literature & poetry). Ester writes simple songs about universal matters adding depth by expressing her true emotions and feelings using her soul poetry and pure voice without complying with any specific musical bandwagon. 
She has been recognized internationally as a FINALIST in the International TV Vocal Contest Amberstar (2009) in the Original Song Category, as a Heat Winner in the Youbloom Music Awards (2012), and as a Monthly WINNER in The Akademia Music Awards (2016). Also as a Runner-Up and a Finalist in the worldwide songwriting contest Song Of The Year (2005-2007). She has written the song for the short film „Don't Look Back“ (2009). 
During her studies at the Universitat de Barcelona, she performed at the biggest Cava festival in Spain („Cavatast 2006“) and got invited to the preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest Spain. In her earlier years she received the Special Prize of the Jury in several original song contests (2010, 2000-2002).
