Run for the Rim

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song Erik-Peter delivers exactly what the song descriptions detail: Classical, Film Music. Erik-Peter's gift for compiling compelling notes arranged in a way I'd expect this song to be a perfect placement in an 80's throwback - something like for a Space Invaders type of movie. Sci-Fi for sure! Continued inspiration to you, Erik-Peter!

keys and bass prog

Helpful

The opening line on the bass gives you the feeling that you are about to watch the credits for a video game move like enter player one or alita battle angel. The Keys enter and your not disappointed. a backing guitar (or key track, hard to tell) lends a slight backbone to the piece as keyboard melody line weaves in and out of the piece throughout to the end. If anything, maybe repeat the theme and make it a little longer than ninety seconds, even a good chase scene in a movie lasts longer than that. otherwise surprisingly enjoyable

Multi Talent Here!

Helpful

So the first song I clicked on was Battle for the Outer Rim and when I first heard the opening bass line I was immediately sold. And as I listen more into the song I hear how multitalented this musician here is. Starts out sounding a little Tool like and then goes into this 70's Emerson Lake and Palmer progressive rock style grove. And then throw in a bit of 80's New Wave. Not to mention phenomenal guitar soloing! Had to go back and listen a few times!

Good Film Music

This piece of music would be great for a film or TV show. It's not very long so it would make a good theme for a TV show or perhaps background music for a scene in an action movie. Nice work. Keep it up.

This to me put my back to childhood playing old school bullet hell games. Very well composed, intricate and complex. Makes you feel the tension and challenge. Let's face it, music should be felt, not heard. This track definitely belongs in a video game! Well done sir! Keep up the good work!!

This is a great recording of instrumental fusionish rock band format well produced with catchy infectious riffs I can see this being placed in a soundtrack easily. Tuning playing mixing are all a1 and easily makes you want to hear more in this style

Iggy Ice: Battle For The Outer Rim is in one word: amazing. Two words: amazing energy. The electronic guitar sounds as real as mine to some degree. You know I never review a song alone, so lest see what Rosie Rumba texted in from Tampa. Rosie Rumba: "Ice, I've listen three time like we always do and we at the label are no stranger to short tunes. I love it and so does Tesla Dan who happens to be sitting next to me." Ice: Eric is no stranger to our 5,300 watt studio system. What did you listen on Rosie? Rosie: "My cell alone. My ear buds, and then when I got back to the car the stereo." Tesla Dan: "That was my cell Rosie." Rosie: My bad. Ice: EP in our opinion is a master engineer as well as a maestro at the keyboard. So this song gets top grades from me from that perspective. Tesla Dan: "If I can add to that Ice, I appreciate his classic training as a non musician which come across rather nicely this production." Ice: Danny, I know you since grade school. We were neighbors for decades. What happened? You move to Tampa and really expanded you taste. Tesla Dan: "Hey, buddy I'm still the biggest Deep Purple fan in the planet, but I have a real collection now." Ice: Good for you. Take care of Rosie until I get there. Tesla Dan: "You bet Ice." Rosie: "I'd like to add that they were my earbuds." Ice: What about the track? Rosie: "5 Stars from Dan and I". Ice: Well, you heard the song. You heard the review. Let's take this to the next level and share it so other can benefit from EP's handy work as well. Rosie: I would like to add this song to my segment Ice? Ice: Contact EP and see what he says. On behalf of the three of us, this song goes on our 'highly recommended' list... be love... evolve... iAndroid

I like this burst into the unknown... I am assuming you are trying to get this in sync licensing and it has a great shot at it. It has a lot of movement and action that builds as it goes along. If that is what you are aiming at, you have the right idea. This does have a certain market even in that area and I hope you are writing other short numbers for this market. You know what you are doing with this composition and it should be picked up by one of the many people looking for these types of compositions. Keep it up and keep writing more. You will succeed! Good luck.

Review of Battle for the Outer Rim

Another great piece from Erik-Peter Mortensen. This is more modern piece than what has been posted before. This starts with a dynamic rhythm with a bit of percussion and electric and bass guitar. This sound as if being in a high speed chase in a movie with a bit of a flare with a lot of punch. If you need a quick get up and go piece. This is the one! Nicely recorded and mixed to get you up and running. Great work once again!

A moving driving track

This sounds like a driving prog rock track. Very interesting guitar leads along with a driving rythm. sounds like it would be good on tv or a movie track. Its visual but a little short unless you are just sending a sample to play. anyway the idea is there and has a good start. Is this a demo and are you adding any vocals. also is this a part of an album as the title shows that your work could be a part of a cencept album. Keep at it and send me more to hear. Thanks and good luck with your projects.
