Awesomely spine chilling, hair standing triple voicing introduction hoe beautiful. Erik never fails in the elementary yet perplexing as to why no one ever else does it in the way that he sets out to do what he does and does it standing on his head. The simplicity and clarity of this piece is deafening units beauty. I love the inspirational pauses particularly when you think it might be over then springing up to let you take a gulp of appreciation that it isn’t.

Busy composer/arranger/producer Erik-Peter Mortensen has created an excellent setting for male voices entitled The Lamentations of Jeremiah - Part 1: Thomas Tallis. The performance is nearly flawless.

Humming monks!

This music will put you in the mountains thinking you are a monk! I can see a group of them walking around bonking themselves on the head with a board MONTY PYTHON style or slapping themselves on the back with a strap for the self inflicted punishment for sins. But those are my first impressions of this music. Truly, the song, all a cappella and well blended is very soothing. It is very much a religious sound. The large chapels in the wild used voices instead of large organs and your group or mix is very much that style. If you are a one person doing a mix of yourself, you did an amazing job. Super KUDOS to you on that. This song has a good range, good arrangement and is well tuned.

This is just plain beautiful!! At first impression you may think you are in for the nearly morose style of Gregorian Chant, but the composition is more meditative, and soothing, and the singing is more in the dry,vibrato-free manner of "Early Music".The return to major key moves, are not your usual cliche fare, and the phrase-ending diminuendos of the backing vocals are so masterfully executed. The sound is that of a truly fine big room--a real cathedral sound. The overall effect is worldly/dark,but still uplifting.

A crazy sound

My favorite song, 4 People, from there epic album released this summer has all the ingredients of the Solillaquists of Sound that I love. A tight, rhythmic male lead that carefully enunciate every syllable, an intricate solid beat that builds the energy of the song, and an amazing singer that defies explanation. I almost labeled her as a backup singer, but then I thought about how the rest of the band is there to support her. Seriously, once her voice comes on you never want her to stop. A beautiful full range, and a versatile style, she adds a huge amount of soul and awesomness to this song and the rest of there incredible album, No More Heroes. Solillaquists of Sound have pushed themselves ahead of the rest of the artists waiting in line to get into my favorite artists lists (where all the cool kids hang out). Spend some time checking out the rest of the samples of there work at the links below and don't forget to stop by there site. What do you think of this? Is this the best song you've heard all month? If so, leave a comment. If not, let us know why not and what you're loving in the comments. Thanks!
