This is a most inventive fusion of styles, instrumentation, and genre,The vocals are authentic Early come Gregorian, which may cause some purists to view the rest of the tones as "out of bounds",but hey --this is 2018! the Electronica drums and Dire Straits style guitar, bring out the loping beat ,setting an epic odd mood ;;kind of Herman Munster Pomp and Circumstance.Great interlude for Science or History Documentary.Far out Man!!!

Interesting and strange! A great combination and one that I think is very unique to your work. I love it. I love the way you used the vocals like another instrument. I love the tension in the string arrangement and your choice of beats. I've mentioned this on a couple of your other compositions but I really think any film makers who are looking for someone to do composition work on their films need to stop by your work.

After hearing several of your compositions, I was not at all prepared for this one. That is a great thing! Love the difference in writing style. I absolutely LOVE the mixture of classical and today's sensibilities you introduce. You are also working with great vocalists that execute what you want with excellent clarity. I love the movement of the strings in the background. Dude, get someone with a good movie to let you score it!

Great flow

I can say that this song has a bunch of great things going for it . The most important for me is the production very well mixed with all the elements. I really enjoy the harmony between the vocal layers and the synth. The breakdowns seem well thought and all in all a great vibe to just chill and enjoy. I think the way the song started was a great way to get my interest. The only think I can say is the length of a little long can be tiring by the 5 min mark..good job

This is a very interesting track! I am always looking for new sounds, and I am glad to hear this kind of experimentation in music . This track has a really fun blend of baroque classical meets modern edm with a bouncy feel that keeps you in a happy mood. I hope Mr. Mortensen keeps up with this approach to composition as I will look forward to hearing how his style evolves over time.

I just love the guitar giving such a wonderful back up to the lovely vocals again. Its a unique blend of slow pace vocals with a rhythmic guitar beats mixed wonderfully with percussion. The tempo sounds very suitable , and the pace flows beautifully.Would certainly recommend it.

Cool and retro!

Yeah, i think it's not so easy to find such a good quality production on N1M. This song reminds me to some works i made in the 90's, when Michael Cretu with "Enigma" was the trend of this kind of music. Anyway here we can found a lot of fresh ideas and i especially love that "Mike Oldfield sounding" electric guitar! The overall sounds is sooo good and it's a pleasure to hear this song again and again. My modest compliments "Maestro"!

Creative Clean mix

You take a lot of risks like I do in terms of the electronic instrumentation and the sound. The operatic vocals are good. I think the electronic synth in place of violins could be taking away from so of the emotion of the track, since those strings have such a flowing sound, although that type of synth is popular in eurodance. It is a good experimental piece, but I wonder what the direction is. This is really well put together, considering all of the elements involved.

A classical piece at the crossroads of genres

Helpful

I know the original piece very well as i sang it inside a well known choir, as bass singer and solist. Here we enter another universe, a reworked idea of Ave Verum Corpus the electronic and pop way. One is led to think first of some Mike Oldfield style, with the aerial sounds of the synths and the clean electric guitar; then the bouncy drums and add synths remind us of some tribal sounds. Nice idea to add the voices of the classical melody at the second part of the track, it's catchy and gives some extra progression to the whole thing. To conclude, one could fear we'd have another cheap remix, but no, it's a complete rework of a classical piece, and a good one.

Epochal Grooves

A bass and drum riff begin this interestingly executed composition that integrates musical themes and elements from a variety epochal time periods such as the Renaissance. Most of the musical instruments are organic in nature but some of them are MIDI based which detracts from the overall soundscape which the composer has created. The arrangement is somewhat confusing in its execution and the delineation between chorus and verse is confusing to the listener. The mix is even with little to detract from the songs impact.
