Driving Instrumental Storm

Helpful

Instrumentalist and composer Hector Lopez Tesillos brings an experimental approach to his Latin influenced rock songs. If you love the works of Carlos Santana and others who lead the way to accept a passionate electric guitar leading the band this will touch you well! It’s hard to sit still when this emotional song gets going. The excited drums supporting the wailing guitar hit at the right time and build the frenzy just when needed. The dynamics are nice as it’s easy to take an instrumentalist as the guitarist here and let it drone on too long, but that’s not what you’ll find here. A nicely paced romp in the rock instrumental world is what you’ll experience with this nicely produced song. I have enjoyed a few songs from this talented artist and look forward to the next one as well.

Hello again Hector !!! I just finished listening to your track, "Monsoon Charm". PERFECT man !!!!! I (personally) liked this one much better than, "El Angel". I think your use of Percussions on this track was Fantastic !! This is a Very Well Produced "mood" piece and I can DEFINITELY hear this track for a Film. The track wasn't over Produced either... the Production was "Top Notch". Keep up the great work, man, I love hearing your music. Thank You !! - Richard - Richard Danar Music

Rocky Song

This is a classic ambient rock song, it makes you feel like you are in a club listening to the musicians improvise their heart out , very thoughtful, it just needs more of a central idea but for the style of the music it is very much in the genre (which is rock)

Dope track...I don't know if you're playing that live, but you could clean up a little mud in your mix..Overall arrangement is fire. I also like the breakdown in this track..Keep up the great work!

Hello Hector, another nice song coming from EL MAJICO. Nice drum sound on the rhythm track. It does seem to be in 4/4 time but the drums use an upbeat bass drum hit every other measure and it almost sounds like 6/8, but if you listen to the drums only it’s 4/4. The guitar part relies on sustain and a little overload, but just enough to keep it warm. It all comes together in the middle for a few bars and starts to rock out, but then goes back to the original theme. This piece requires more listening and I think I will get the massage. I like music like this that makes you think.

Loving the Space FX

Helpful

Already listening to this track I love the spacey echoes and heavy effects. I love the changeup about 1/3 into the track, possibly add a bit more umpf to the drums, maybe even some deep tribal tom work would be nice. All in all the Concept and musicality is awesome! I think the drums could be mixed a little bit better, maybe tighten up the reverb for the over all sound to be a bit more punchy and impactful. WOW this track takes your mind places for sure. I love it great job!

A storm is coming...

El Magico brings us Monsoon charm, a storm of persuasion in the vein of Carlos Santana meets Mike Rutherford with Tony Levin, John Lord on keys and of course Ginger Baker on drums... A very nice tapestry in prog-rock form. From a producer's perspective I do have a little issue with the tone of the drums and the overall amount of reverb in the mix as I thought they were just a little too far back in the mix and I think because of the reverb I cannot really hear any bass guitar. But I do like how the passion of the piece ebbs and flows like a current through time.

Nice guitar playing liking the way the drums are rocking. Music is expression from the soul. It's an artistic way of expressing a feeling or a thought. I'm only suggesting that because of the intro of this song. It almost sounds as though it's a techno song or some sort. Interesting

'Monsoon Charm' Review

The music starts with an effect and a transition of drums that boosts the lead guitar. I can't help but wonder if it is only from this site, but it sounds like it is in mono and not in stereo, I could be wrong. I think that there is a number of nice variances that make it interesting. It later kicks in with a driving sound with the drums and effect. I like the intensity of the music as if it is in an action film just about going into a battle. Definitely good energy throughout. Good work. Keep it up!
