About Effrontery

Effrontery is a death metal band inspired by Life itself. Péter Lipák, our creative engine, translates his personal story into music. With the help of our sound and lyrics, You can track our way from the abandoned industrial buildings of the town Martfű into the present moment.
Every station we’ve got a hold along the way are ours. As it is customary in this troubled genre, our sixteen-year-old band recorded its demo (Flaming mud 2005), its two albums (Mayfly 2012, Seven years of agony 2017) and its clip (The Effrontery 2013) by its own efforts and resources. The press and the audience have been taken notice of our brutal but versatile sound. This is a real reward for our dedication.
We obliged to give excellent and powerful gigs in return, as many as we can. From the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle in Hungary through Rockmaraton and Death by Metal Festival to every possible clubs in Europe, we go and play. This what we like, what we prepare for, this is why we spend countless hours with practice. Our conviction is that we have a message to say by our music.
Our sound is beautifully perplexing and complicated. It is and always will be death metal but with its own character, embracing unusual structures, melodic riffs, sophisticated guitar solos, additional string and wind instruments. We are up to experiments if the result conveys our message in a coherent manner.
The foundations of our band are Péter Lipák (guitars, vocals, music, lyrics) and Zsolt Filák (percussions). With Zsolt Lédeczi (vocals, lyrics), Ferenc Sasvári (guitars) and Balázs Molnár (bass) we have now an ever-powerful lineup for Effrontery.
