Hi Duceman, thanks a lot for sending again a song for review. Haha...ok, now I know you are by yourself, a solo project, right? I love the grooves you produce, they only make me move and dance. This song is really special with your taking and telling the story, very well written, loved the lyrics, the drums, bass and those guitars riffs are easy listening and very groovy, congratulations, keep it up man! any greetings from Germany, Alfredo

beautiful! The basic and pressing rhythm, repetitive enough to make it very catchy and the desire to listen to it again. The sounds are there; drums, a guitar tour that repeats and pleases; Here you feel that there is a good musician behind all this. Congratulations

I am going to die is good music AND good text. Here we can hear good workmanship in composing, , building a beat that is not boring. On top of this we can hear a man with a message, interesting thinkings about life and looking for a descent way to live his life, in a way that enrich not only himself, but also people around him. Very nice !!!

I never thought i'd enjoy a track about life and death, mostly death. This is a bouncing old school poet/beat jam. I think the delivery of the words is fantastic and you bring it with that funky beat, and them perfect breaks that fall in all the right places. This is some 70's era Gil Scott vs Stax Blues Guitarist with his sweaty funky drummer stuff right here! You know you badd when you can make folks bob their heads to the topic of upcoming death. Make me wanna 24 hours to recognize options to avoid impulses. This is real talk. So Funky. I wouldn't change anything about this. Great stuff!

This track is really cool !! I was caught a little off guard but as soon as this track started I liked the feel of it . I guess I am a little biased but the cool jazz funk style definately sits well underneath the poem being recited . Along with the production side this really comes together well . Having a selective echo/delay on the vocal allows for a little extra expression at times which really gives certain points more significance and allows the artist to define specific parts to the the listener . Rhythmically the music has a great flow , with an appropriate key for the subject matter too . Like a cool reality check I guess you might say . I really like this track , maybe Duceman will let me do a remix sometime !! :D Jazbuntu .

The Last Poets would feel their legacy lives on. If younger people want to understand where the idea for Rap music came from this recording will show you the roots of the style. The rhythm track is foot tappin' live instrumentalist and the spoken word message is worthy of thought.

This was definitely a good food for thought piece. A lot of people take people and life for granted. But your words is a reminder to cherish every moment of your life. Thanks for this piece I enjoyed it!

Rhythmic Expression

The chemistry of the words & poetry is a good mix... Nicely articulated delivery with a musical accompaniment that neither over powers or under emphasizes the story. This is what we call "Rhythmic Expression!!!

Wise words and a basic reminder that we will all die in the end and our relationships are so important. Live life to the full on this earth and hope for a joyful after-life. Jazz is a good backdrop to this piece.

Hi, Duceman! Here I am again listening to your works, and in this particular case, I love all the forms of expression of the ideas and feelings that the song includes. The depth of the sound of your voice is very special to not lose attention to the literary line. The music, for my taste is something monotonous and does not do justice to the rest of the project. The sound of the snare drum, although it is very retro, sounds quite strange. the mixture is good. Greetings and good job !

I Am Going to DIE. this song is a strictly Fusion Jazz piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Fusion style as I said everything recalls the Fusion genre . personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Rock piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

Wise poetry in a welcome way

The singing poet D. presents his story with a simple, relaxed voice and the band plays a repeating funky rhythm figure. Lyrics open with a realistic statement that is the name of the song. This is a clever and rarely heard song that contains a lot of wisdom. The song reminds me in a positive way of Curtis Mayfield. I like the simple background with soft guitar, drums and bass.

First, I love your voice! Nice and smooth music that doesn't disturb the poem, but still interesting to listen to. On the other hand, I easily could have listened to it twice or more if the music was a little bit more varied. I know it's a long track, but maybe some part with only varied music could have lifted a tiny bit. But overall, I really liked the idea! (have had the same idea for about 40 years but never acted on it) Good and professional work!
