Rock’n’Roll spoken here! October starts with a Full Moon and ends with a Full Blue Moon. In between, the leaves are turning colors and starting to fall. October brings the cooler weather with the frost on the pumpkin. That usually means that Halloween is drawing near. But with the Coronavirus Pandemic still going strong, it looks like trick or treating is on the back burner. Just one more tradition to take it on the chin this year. Will this become the new normal? To add to the fun and games, a Mercury Retrograde will appear mid-month and end on Election Day (Oct.13-Nov. 3). This could be a very intense retrograde since it will take place in the sign of Scorpio. Beware!! NEW NEWS…The 3-Way Heartbreak Single was released on September 18 to help promote the upcoming DownTown Mystic: Used Records History 1979-1985 album, which will be released on November 6. This is an album of previously unreleased pre-DownTown Mystic material. Last month we put out a press release with the details. The single got a couple of great reviews recently. Considering it was recorded in 1985, getting any kind of radio play would have to be considered a success. But to actually get the single on over 30 stations in 15 countries is beyond successful for us!!! Thanks to all the stations for supporting DownTown Mystic!! SYNC & STREAMING…According to BMI, DownTown Mystic has music sync-licensed on over 200 TV shows. So far there’s only been a couple of indie films to use music but that’s about to change. Our 1st major movie studio sync is about to become a reality with Disney sync-licensing our song Fly Like The Wind for their new Flora & Ulysses movie. Fly Like The Wind was also recorded in 1985 and appears on the upcoming DownTown Mystic: Used Records History 1979-1985. The song has become one of our top sync-licensing tracks thanks to our good bud Eddie Caldwell from Music of The Sea.
