Due to botched surgeries I ended up losing 5 years of pure negligence and the only way to be able to walk again and rid myself of 62 months of pain, I had no choice but to amputate. So now I'm going through all it takes to become an amputee. Never thought this would have happened but malpractice is an epidemic. So I'm going to be able to walk again and have no more pain and then I'll be having my TBI repaired so I can get back to writing more songs that I miss doing more than you can imagine. I was 56 when I just started posting my song's and really getting into all this and was extremely grateful for all the positive messages of those who like my songs. Then in an instant I have a horrible accident, then just a couple of years later I suffered the calcaneal fracture, broken right foot, and then botched surgeries to the point of losing my lower leg. So now I'm 64 and still plan on getting new songs out but I'm going to need another year because it's hard to think when you're in pain. The Drs. stoled 5 years of my life only to end up amputating, but like I said, I'll be ready to put out new songs without the pain because I'll be free from it. So I want to thank everyone for still listening to the same songs and I will continue to heal to the point where I can put out new songs. If you don't know already you can get two more songs on (expired link) search Doug Oliver. Everyone be safe and keep rock and roll in your blood and never stop rocking cuz that's what keeps us young!!! God bless and keep on rocking!!!

I'm so sorry about not uploading any new songs, but like I've been saying, I was in a horrible accident and one involved suffering a calcaneal fracture , your heel bone, and mine was really bad and then it got worse because of negligence. That was 2/14/18 and to make it short, it broke again and the surgeon who was supposed to do the surgery said I didn't need one. He was wrong and after a year of total F-ups' I'm now in the process of amputating my right foot. Then they can work on my Traumatic Brain injury so maybe I'll be able to get back at it, but it better be soon because I ain't getting any younger. Saying that, I hope you all understand and know how grateful I am for all of you who have enjoyed my songs. I could use some prayers to hopefully end this nightmare. Keep on Rocking and be safe because life can change in a split second!!! Doug

Sorry for the bad news. My health has taken a turn for the worst and for 7 years I've been unable to put out more songs because of my TBI from my accident. I severely damaged the frontal lobe and it controls emotions and critical thinking, amongst more, and it starts pounding when I try to record. Don't ever hurt your brain because you won't believe how much it effects your complete personality, not to mention the pounding pain.
I have a few songs that need a few days each to finish, so if or when I get better after they try different things, I'll have a few out quick as possible. I appreciate each and every one of you and don't give up on me yet. Be safe and keep supporting music, especially RNR!!!!! Doug

Hey fans, just a quick note to let you know that I'm getting back to writing and playing again. Had to bad accidents that had me laid up and on disability insurance. Suffered brain trauma that had me unable to play guitar or listen to anything loud. They said it would take up to 7 years to heal the best it'll be. Well it's been 31/2 years and I'm able to handle a lot more noise with ear plugs. I'm also working on putting my songs up to be bought from many who have requested that I do. So for now know that I'm back and soon will be releasing new songs. Be safe and keep on a Rocking!!!!

My take on what we're going through and what being an American is. We don't ever give up and good times will get back to us through hard work and enforcing the laws already on the books. God Bless America!!!

Hey all. Had an accident Aug. 11 2015 and sustained a lot of injuries, one being brain trauma which has limited my ability to write or even play instruments for awhile. I will make this short, I thank you all for your support and lets keep on making music. God bless you all!!

I am a musician/songwriter who also have put together a couple of videos to go along with my music. One of my weaker talents is in the vocals but I have a friend, Stacy Carter who has given time to lay some vocal tracks on a couple of tunes. Also Bob Church on drums on a couple of songs. Bob is the younger brother of Bill "The electric" Church from the original Montrose and Sammy Hagar days. I compose my music on a Boss BR1600 and try my best at engineering. My songs have an average of maybe 20 hours then on to the next one.
Rock N Roll is in my blood and I have seen many of the greatest bands ever and have been able to meet a lot of classic rock legends which has always inspired me!!!

I have a friend Stacy Carter who laid down the vocals on 3 songs and another, Bob Church, Bill "The Electric Church" from Montrose & Sammy Hagar bands younger brother playing drums on 2 of the three songs, Homegrown I programmed the onboard drum patterns. I love writing songs with melodies and meanings. My only wish would be to have more knowledge in the engineering of the recordings but I do the best I can. Hope you enjoy the songs and messages.
