weird song/rap, the spoken lyric

I don't know, if i should like it or not. It's really a weird song/rap, the spoken lyric. To me, it looks like that it doesn't fit. But i guess this is done on purpose. Not on the beat and the spoken lyric is not in tune. I did listen to other tracks, but these we're and sounds good. It' sounds really cool to me. Like i said i really don't know what to think of this song.

Urgency Emergency!

Very deep, prolific track that truly touches the raw nerve of current society dilemmas. Almost comes across as a spoken word piece. I can appreciate the candid & unabashed message. Nice work.

Like Spoken Word

This song reminds me of Spoken Word. A poem that has a beat. It seems that the violence has not let up yet so the message in the song is still relevant. I think the song may even have more influence on the ears if the verses were done over a more cinematic type production with maybe a violin and a choir somewhere to bring more emotion out. Along with that possibly some reverb on the vocals to make it sound bigger. The song is not bad but I think better production will bring out the words more.

Truth telling

I really love this. Very poignant. This message is so powerful. Your voice is powerful. I love how you just kept it so conversational. I love this so so much!!!!!!!! "When I say Nigga it's not a race...Every race has them Black ppl just occupy more Nigga space." Brilliant. Beautifully done. The only thing critical anyone could say about this is the tag on the music track is slightly distracting. But that is irrelevant. Please keep doing your thing. I'm a fan!

Poetic

This is very different and nothing what I was expecting. The tone, the disscussion on real world word problems but all in brought up in a different way. It's very inspirational but also serves as a wake-up call to society. It brings out most of the problems American culture faces in 2016. This is brilliant, good job

Substance

Plenty have no vision on having pritorties straight. Only because they fear to uphold the responsibility of greatness within a man or woman who could quiet them. Don't let greed or envy demolish the good soul that was issued from the beginning & knock a blessing. Keep pushing on them g

review of May Day

I don't want to be cruel about this track, it's not my usual kind of music and the music is pretty good...but I don't think this voice is right for this kind of music. I don't find it convincing, it sounds like a middle class white kid in his bedroom trying to be hip and hood. If I talk about the content of the lyrics, 'paranoid' springs to mind...it's a song of rebellion against police and society, it just makes me cringe...sorry, not for me!

DOAP is dope.

May Day! May Day! is so true! I'm so glad someone has the courage and respect to create these lyrics for this song! People need to listen to this song and learn from it, because it's all so true! Great lyrics with a great vocal, over a sweet, mellow beat. Diary of a Poet -or- DOAP is dope! And May Day! May Day! is the song that spells out the future, unless as Ms.DOAP suggests, we get together, rise up and stand against the people trying to take us down.

Lyrically Amazing

Dead on! excellent explanation. Its pretty amazing that you mentioned Martial Law, "Theres a deeper sinister fact" behind it. Look up on youtube. But again, Dead on! Congrats. I would've liked to of heard a little more political information within but overall it was well put together.
