Haiku Sunday - join us!
Hi all!
Hope this finds you well!
This photo was taken backstage at the Shelley Theatre a couple of weeks ago. We’ve really enjoyed our recent gigs and are now working on some recordings for the next few weeks.
In the meantime, if you’re a wordsmith, we’d love you to join in our weekly Haiku challenge.

I love words. I was a poet before I was a songwriter, and a lyricist before a musical composer. During my education of the arts I learned about the Haiku, a Japanese form of poetry where structure and syllable count is heralded above rhyme.
Blossom on the tree
Stillness in the clear blue sky
Peaceful in the sun
#haiku
The most common form is three lines, the first consisting of five syllables, the second of seven and concluding in five syllables.
I know there are creative people in our midst. Over the next year, I’d like to build a body of poetry that we can all be part of.
It’s a fun challenge! Add yours to the blog on www.diellemusic.com/haiku I’d love to hear them! Each week I’ll choose one from the comments below to read on the Beautiful Monday broadcast.
