Music instruments are ok. Try opening the production up for the track. Let the verses breathe a little by toning down some of the instruments. Either the vocal range needs to be adjusted or the note keys of the music needs to be adjusted to equal each other. Chorus lyrics could be a little more creative. The message of the song is good. Add a nice change section.

I really like the vibe, awsome rhythm. This hook will make you definitely get out of your chair. Awsome club or party song. Vocals are amazing crystal clear. This is definitely a global hit!

Good song that could be even better!

I like the song, the voice and the arrangements. Good vibes, nice groove and nice "air" in the end - until a sudden stop... In my opinion the production could have won to have lesser effects on the voices and a cleaner mix to let all instruments and voices come forward. Otherwise, good work!!

The Weekend Song

Hello DeLise TMG Artist My name is Twon and I am also a solo artist. I took the time to listen to your song so that I could fill in your request that you asked of me regarding a writing a review. I've been writing songs every since I was 14 years old and am decades older now. I do not consider myself an expert on reviewing songs but I do know what it basically takes to have a song in which the listeners ears are pricked and made to want to hear that song over and over. The Weekend Song in its writing formation some how was written in a way that once performed the lead voice was over worked. The lead voice is swallowed up in the lyric formation in a way that it can not do justice to the lead singing part. As I listen to a song or anyone for that matter, the ear leans toward the voice that carries the song. In the case of The Weekend Song, there are too many leads at the same time. The results is clutter. The listener has to decipher who is singing what. I have that problem in pockets of some of my own songs. I find myself OVER writing in areas and crowding out the lead part. With a voice like yours, which has a Choca Khan influence in my opinion, the performance of the song should highlight YOUR voice more where it is heard and let the richness of its quality not be so cluttered. Hey its all about perfection and being the best. Keep at it and keep singing. Beautiful voice.

The Weekend Song

Nice rhythm and vocal arrangement and the lyrical content is strong and very well articulated. The melody is striking major positive blows throughout the entirety of the song. It's a pleasant and well presented song title, warmly sung, with silky background harmonies. Overall good audio quality and content. Congratulations to all on a job well done. Keep up the good work! Thank you for the opportunity to review your material.

I'm an immediate sucker for good feels and vibes in the form of music. What better way to illustrate that than the idea of a good ol weekend, full of light and energy. Add that to some soulful, escaping instrumentation, and you've got an excellent tune such as this one. Excellent vocal work as well, very precise and effective. All in all, this song is great for film and television shows and even commercials, but its an excellent record overall. - Lambeau

Nostalgic Soul Vibe

The second I heard the opening bars of this song, I was transported back in time to 1978 when this vibe was incredibly prevalent. Whether or not you intended to - you did it! There is a cool, relaxing, chilled out vibe going on - full of effervescence and optimism. There is also a great ambient feel that kicks in from time to time which is in keeping with the smooth relaxed feel, though I would look at the percussions a little more intensely as there are a few subtle timing issues. Loving the bass line and attempt at a horn section which adds to the soulful flavour of the song. The harmonies sound synthesized and unnatural to me. I know technology exists where you can sing and representative harmonies are generated - is that what you did here? I found them a little jarring on my senses at times. I think you will sound more soulful and harmonious if you sing the harmonies individually and mix them together to get a better blend. I love my harmonies! The intro and the "outro" are the most important parts of any song. The ending sounds abruptly curtailed. Either re-edit/remix it to have a crisp, precise ending - or go for a fade ending. Do not leave it so rough. If you do not care about the quality of your work - why should anyone else? Always strive for perfection in your chosen craft - be the very best that you can be! Get the most out of the technology at your disposal without sacrificing the "humanness" of the vocals. A gallant piece of work - you have some good genetic finger printing to have harnessed sounds of the 1970s - as I am sure you weren't even born then!

Nice voice but...

The Weekend Song by DeLise show an extremely pleasent voice with a very intersting tone, character and presence. That is the end of the positive aspects of this tune, as the song lacks interesting melody, lyrics and musical arrangement. I would like to listen to such a great voice coupled with better songwriting qualities. At least this is my opinion.

Hello, first I must say, as Independent Artists we put our heart and soul into what we do, cause we do what we love. The song has that jazz feeling to it, at first I was going to hit the skip button, but I realize that art is a form that has the ears of the creator. So I became the creator and engulfed myself in the sound, and presentation. Hence, I was pleasantly surprise how well this put together. I love the concept, voice, and the rhythm of the song all together. Very old school, vintage, concept. So thumbs up for The Weekend Song. I've heard this voice, or style before while on my journey, beautifully done. The music is classic and it fits your vocal tone perfectly. Now that I've listen to it four times, it came to me, Her name is Maya Azucena from New York. Similar style, and I'd love to hear more from you. So I look forward to hearing your full project, and even sharing the stage with you, though our stylez are quite different, variety is the spice of life, audiences should not be subjected to the torture of listening to an evening of music that all sounds the same. I'm not much for electronica soul, but this song is really nice. Great vocals and cool lyrics set this song off nicely against the groove. I might bring down the lead synth in the back ground and turn up the bass and kick drum a bit in the mix just to make it jam a little more. A very pleasant mood created. This woud be a nice listening to in the car on the way to the club for a night out kind of song. Good stuff.
