How Jesus Got High
Greetings,
VOTE !! VOTE !! VOTE!!
Please do your part and vote. It seems like tensions are very high right now with this election at stake. I just find it said and terrible that people will go out of their way to intimidate people to not too vote. Voting is RIGHT for every citizen. It doesn’t matter what party you like but everyone has the right to vote and should do it freely without intimidation or fear.
I’ve been doing some virtual gigs this past month. They have been private parties using zoom so I’m glad I can still gig. It’s not the same as being live but I suppose it’s the next best thing. I do have a private party coming up in December which I will be able to bring in the band. I’m excited about that.

If you're planning a party and need some entertainment, please let me know. I can do virtual parties as well as live. So please consider me. You'll love it. I attached a pic to get you in the mood..
As the holidays approach, this will be the first year we do not travel to see family with this pandemic. I’ll miss seeing my family, my wife’s family and all the good food and fun times. So, it will be different for us as I’m sure it will be for you. I guess I’m thankful that I live in the digital age where we can use zoom to connect and see family as the next best thing.

How Jesus Got High…
-------------------------------------------
Interesting title right ?. Well there some interesting aspects of Jesus life that I’d like to share. Let’s look at Ephesians 4:8:
When he ascended on high,
he took many captives
and gave gifts to his people.
(What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions?
He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.)
The verse indicates that Jesus ascended on high which is a referenced to Heaven but before he did that the verse also indicates that Jesus also descended to the lower earthly regions. This can be a reference to Hell. There’s something to notice here and that is that Jesus went all the way down to the dumps and then went to the highest place one could be.
Let’s look at some other interesting passages:
Matthew 18: 4
Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 20:16
So the last will be first, and the first will be last.
Luke 14:10 ( Jesus talks about when you’re invited to a wedding feast)
But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests.
Matthew 23:12
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
It’s interesting that all these passages indicate that if we want to be in the high/honored position according to God, we must first take the lowest position similarly to what Jesus did. If we try to take the high position first, we will end up in the low position. Jesus went to the high position and he wants everyone of us to also experience that so he is giving us the secret on how to do that. It’s actually very simple. The path to glory is humility.
Sincerely,
Dave
