Feeling Powerless ?

Greetings, How have you been doing ? It’s been pretty good for me the last month. I actually had 2 gigs one of which was virtual. The other was at a courtyard by a pool at a very nice apartment complex. I performed with a live band at the apartment complex. The people loved it and would like to have us back. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people were very nice and were also very appreciative. It was great to perform with the band again. It was also nice to get out and perform. I hope the gigs start picking up more. ---------------------------------------------------- Available for Parties/Events ---------------------------------------------------- As we start getting into the holidays and you need some entertainment, please consider contacting me. I know at times I have felt this and I wish could be superman to overcome that thing or situation. In 2nd Chronicle’s both Asa and Jehoshaphat felt this way when they were in a battle. I loved their prayers. Here’s Asa’s prayer recorded in 2nd Chronicles 14:11: Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, “Lord, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. Lord, you are our God; do not let mere mortals prevail against you.” Here’s Jehoshaphat’s prayer recorded in 2nd Chronicles 20:6 “Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. ….” In both cases, Asa and Jehoshaphat realized they were in a situation where they were too weak to overcome what was coming at them. Also in both situations, Asa and Jehoshaphat recognized and acknowledged that God is their strength and he has the power to overcome all. They both also just asked God for help. Very simple but effective. God then answered their prayer and gave both Asa and Jehoshaphat victory over the battle they were facing. It’s ok to admit we’re weak. It shows a sense of humility in which God honors. In our weakness we then rely on God’s power which is want God wants. God is strong when we are weak. It gives God a chance to show others who he is. I don’t know about you but It’s great to know I have this kind of strength, power available when I need it and I don’t have to do it all on my own. Thanks for the letters and the support. Please continue pray for our leaders and the medical community. Also be safe and please take precautions to keep others safe.
