Merry Christmas - Tis the season
Hello and Tis the season,
Christmas is just about here, and I hope you got all your Christmas shopping done and are spending time enjoying your close friends and family. For us It’s a lot different this year because of covid. We usually travel but this year, it will just be our family.
A lot has been going on these last few weeks and even this past weekend. This past weekend I had 3 gigs. One on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. WOW! .
On Friday I performed at a senior living center called Greenwood terrace. It was very enjoyable, and I know the residents enjoyed it. One lady told me that they wish they had more music like that.
On Saturday and Sunday, I performed between church services at a church called Eagle Creek Church which was in the rural parts of Missouri in a town called Harrisonville. The church is in a mall, so I performed in the nicely decorated mall. It was very enjoyable especially when I get to meet new people and explore new territory. It’s nice to get outside your back yard once in a while. My best tip came from a young girl maybe about 5 – 7 yrs. old, she gave me 50 cents. I felt blessed. I thought that was so cool.

It’s Christmas time. What are you celebrating ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s here , the decorations, Santa, the carols, the lights , the gifts and all the festivities. It’s all wonderful and exciting. It’s Joyous. People’s hearts even tend to get softer. I love Christmas. I love all the glitter, lights the color and even the Christmas music it so jazzy.
BUT the big question is What are you celebrating ? Is it just a Holiday and a day off work ? What does Christmas mean to you ?
Christmas is about the greatest gift ever given to humanity and that’s a baby born in a barn and his name was Jesus also known as the Christ. Did you know that before Jesus was born there were 500 prophecies about him and 300 of those prophecies have already come true. Pretty amazing. 200 have yet to come. People have known about Jesus ( the Messiah) for centuries. So, he just wasn’t an ordinary baby. He was conceived without human relations. Jesus came out of an act of love. His death on the cross was an act of love. Everything he did , every miracle he performed was done as an act of love. He still helps people today out of an act of love. Jesus had to come so he could pave the way for us to get into heaven so he could spend eternity with you and me. Why ? Because he loves you , me and all people that much. We all love receiving gifts and giving gifts on Christmas. The question I have for you is have you received God’s gift , his son who is Jesus ? If not why ? This gift will not get old, will not rot, will not break , will never become outdated, and will always be new and shiny. There’s always an abundance to go around. Almost sounds like the perfect gift. Well it is because God gives perfect gifts. Jesus came to beak the bondage of sin and the weight of shame, regret, stress, anxiety, etc.. Why wouldn’t anyone want to feel relieved of that weight ? This Christmas don’t forget to open God’s present on Christmas.
Sincerely,
Dave
