Danny Saber is not only known for his years playing guitar and bass with the Manchester, England-based Black Grape, he is also known for his skills as a producer, remixer, engineer, and DJ, and has worked with a long list of major artists ranging from Sheryl Crow to Madonna to Public Enemy. Danny is not an easy artist to categorize; he has strong alternative rock credentials, but he has also embraced everything from hardcore rap to industrial to trip-hop. He was Born in N.Y. but raised in Los Angeles, Danny was seriously into funk, heavy metal, and hard rock when he was growing up; his first experience playing on the L.A. club scene of note was with Issa Joone, but it was hip-hop-influenced Metal band Proper Grounds that established him (being Madonna’s first signing to Maverick records) . He then signed with EMI publishing and traveled to England secured and UK management. Although Danny is American, the alternative pop/rock band that brought him a lot of exposure in the mid-'90s Black Grape was predominantly British and was led by vocalist Shaun Ryder, formerly of the Happy Mondays. When Ryder was leading the Happy Mondays, he suffered from serious drug problems; Ryder's addiction to heroin led to the group's breakup in 1992. In fact, Ryder's drug problems were so serious that those who knew him in the late '80s and early '90s feared he would die of an overdose. But Ryder pulled himself together after the Happy Mondays' breakup and formed Black Grape in 1993; Ryder brought Saber on board in 1994. The following year, Danny produced Black Grape's debut album, It's Great When You're Straight...Yeah (in addition to playing bass, keyboards, and organ and doing some engineering on the disc -- which became a major hit in the U.K.). In 1997, Danny wore a long list of hats on Black Grape's second album, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid producer, arranger, and engineer as well as bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, and even sitar player. By that time, he was not only known for playing guitar or bass in bands, he had also acquired a reputation as a diverse, broad-minded studio wizard who could use his producing, remixing, and engineering talents for a wide variety of artists. The songs Danny was known for remixing in the late '90s included, among others, U2's "Staring at the Sun," Garbage's "Stupid Girl," David Bowie's "Little Wonder," Korn's "Make Me Bad," and Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People." It was in 1997 that Saber worked on the Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon album as a producer, keyboardist, bassist, and guitarist. Danny continued to keep busy in the early to mid-2000s, a time that found him working with artists ranging from the Charlatans UK to Willie Nelson. Danny has also done his share of musical work on commercials, including commercials for McDonalds, Taco Bell, Coors beer (which used his remix of Tom Jones' early-'70s hit "She's a Lady"), and Squirt. Over the last 2 decades Danny has continued to produce mix and remix major artists including, Alice Cooper, the White Stripes, the Gorillas and Soundgarden to name a few. He has also branched out into film production with the Last Rockstar about Micheal Hutchence. As the landscape of the music business changes Danny has turned his focus to working with unsigned artists. With the launch of the Saber-Bytes.com platform there will be an emphasis on creating licensing opportunities for new music.

Danny Vash has a relentless commitment and strong musical instincts to succeed. He has been playing music since he was old enough to understand what it meant to him and how it intrigued him to make this noise come from this thing and it’s was musical and it sounded cool. He was eight when he started playing guitar. Danny is passionate and dedicated and feels a connection with music that can’t be duplicated by anything else he has experienced. He is accomplished guitar and bass player; he writes all his music and does his own vocals. His sound and style are a unique combination of many years perfecting to get that guitar sound.
Danny’s music career started to take off when he was 15. He was a member of the high school jazz band where he played bass. The band was chosen for a Europe Tour in which they competed in the “Paris Festival De Jazz.” The band went on to win the best high school band in the world. From there Danny expanded his journey and played in many successful Bay Area Rock and Metal Bands in California. He made several records with the once popular bay area band “Bay Rum” and went on to release another album with a three piece project where Danny tried his talents as front man, lead guitar and vocals. Danny relocated to Albuquerque New Mexico in 89 and started a three piece hard rock band “Nite Wolf”
Danny opened up for numerous national acts at premiere venues. Robin Trower, Blue Oyster Cult, The Tubes, Eddy Money, Earthquake, Pat Traverse, Steppenwolf, Elvin Bishop, The Romantics, Randy Hansen’s Band of Gypsies, Duke Robalard, Savoy Brown to name a few.
