Inspired by tunes he heard playing on the kitchen radio as a child, Christian Antonius Mueller began his piano-playing explorations by the age of four and wrote his first compositions as an eight-year-old. We are the "Antonius Duo": Christian Bachmann (e-bass) and Christian Antonius Mueller (piano and composition).
We write and play chamber musical progressive rock and jazz. Classic meets jazz. The music is written
with a big classical influence (Bach, Haydn, Rachmaninow) but improvising is allowed, no, it's a necessity.
We improvise on classical harmonic progressions as well as on Jazz progressions in a jazz manner.
Reviving the lost art of classical improvisation. Jazz is the art of listening to your band members and interacting on what they have to say. The art of listening like in normal life. The more you listen, the more you will be understood and loved.
So it will swing and rock and you will like it when you like classical music, Jazz, Pop and Rock.
