Groovy stuff!

Vancouver, Washington's own Cary and the Bunny Land Band's tune Don't Stop Believing is a solidly-backed tune! The drum groove is outstanding and the flute adds a groovy psychedelic touch!

Don't Stop Believing is much in the style of Lennon!

Don't Stop Believing is a track that is very reminiscent of John Lennon and some of the later music that he recorded. When I first heard Don't Stop Believing I thought about how much it reminded me of songs like #9 Dream or Jealous Guy. Don't Stop Believing is a pleasure to listen to; so much so that I had to listen a few times. The composition is superbly done and the vocal has a very unique and enjoyable sound. This is definitely one that I'm adding to my playlist.

My Hippie heart goes pit pat

I absolutely love psychedelia flavored music because it makes me dream and energizes me. this is exactly what happened when Don't Stop Believing by BunnyLandBand. This music sends you off dreaming - double bass, flute, strummed acoustic guitars build up a great sound collage for the mystical vocals, with positive lyrical message. The ending though comes very unexpected.

Don't Stop Believing

So of course one wonders will this be a cover of Journey's hit song? and of course it is a very different song, different genre, different planet altogether. A synth and acoustic guitar sound, with pretty song movement, the flute lends some desert imagination into the track. I wonder if it would have been enhanced by having the vocals higher up in the mix, or stronger in the arrangement. A gentle, background track to an evening inside, though the flute keeps you on your toes, who knows what is around the corner :) Good luck BunnyLandBand. (iLike your name btw) P.S. As I'm about to hit "send" (or rather, "post") I spy the genre is designated as "Rock" and even more fantastically, "Rockabilly" ... lol. Well, apologies if I offend anyone, but the two categories are not what I would have chosen for this particular song. (Now you're making me curious to check out your other songs....!) I'm imagining this was the slow track on your album? Be good!

Half a star

Would never listen to this song except to review it on this site. Flute playing isn't bad. Keyboard is lame. Singing and lyrics are lame. Guitar sounds like store-bought loops. Cover the journey song of the same title, might be worth listening to then. Sorry. Not the kind of music I like.

Nice instrumentation, vocal mix

Reminiscent of the Flaming Lips, this is a nice little ditty. I liked how distinct the different sections wereand the effects that were used. The vocals seem to have a bit of echo panned to one side. The wind instrument sounds very breathy with a healthy dose of reverb while the synthesizer sections have a much smoother production quality. The song ends abruptly, but that didn't bother since the song is so quirky from start to finish. Probably not for everyone, but I thought it was cute in an ironic way and pretty well done overall.

Ron burgundy on flute?

Lack lustre song that has obviously been done on a home studio. It has this mad flute that could only of been done by the mighty Ron Burgundy! It also ends so abruptly I wasn't sure my player had stopped working. Vocals are out of time too!

Very Pleasant!

I did not know what to expect, but this is a very nice song. Very smooth, with beautiful instrumentation. What a different sound, for a band. Also, the references to God and goodness, just made this song even more sweet. Really like your sound, because it's nice and different from anyone else. Keep ups the good work. Hey

Man, you are out of tune...this is not rock or something like that. This Jethro tull thing...your out of tune singing...that lazy chord circle. You need to think in other genre, maybe a mix with these elements you got now with TROVA or something similar. It is great being a songwriter!

Misses

This is a pretty song, but why did you ruin it with the weird effects on the vocals? The mixing sounds off - did you have the song mastered? The flute is way too loud. The music would be nice for a movie or tv show, but the vocals are really distracting. I bet the singer has a nice voice - so I'm not sure why the choice was made to do something so incredibly distracting. Hard. To. Listen. To.

Its a start! (a good one)

Too much on the vocal effects, lots of colliding frequencies. I found this song very hard to absorb due to it's over production of effects. You're on your way. I had a similar issue when I first started. Make friends with a sound engineer, that's what I did.

Good work but you can do better!

Thi song have a low quality of mastering but very nice song, you can do better, with a real instruments and the right metods of production! Lovely song, mistic and good for relaxing! Improve your work!

it takes more than just belief

Cary Carter and BunnyLandBand brings us Don't Stop Believing... a simplistic melody with an even simpler passive flute backing. This song has all the excitement of watching grass grow. The vocal is not very engaging and the harmonies are off key. This is a rather amateurish recording albeit someone is displaying some semblance of skill on the flute, but clearly a lack of imagination in the recording, tracking and mixing is more than quite apparent. Its a quant song, something Sara Bareilles would enjoy singing... but it needs so much more work.

Don't Stop believing

I like this, its a bit strange at first ...but such a good vibe, very hooky melody , needs a bit more work around the middle or another part , its kinda Yellow submarine Beatles, sweet melody sweet song ,

A little more pop than my taste allows.

Not crazy about the production, but then it's not really my cup of tea all around. Put together well, I suppose. I just can't dig my teeth into it. O would recommend this to someone that wants easy listening.

Walking Pulse

I like the nice walking pulse, use of a flute and experimental use of unconnected three main vocals. At first I wasn't sure if this distracted me from the lyrics, but the tune is not long and the lack of connection sorta makes it interesting. I would like to hear it both ways to consider the difference. I wonder if this came out of an accident or was intentional from the start. I think the flute was a good choice for the solo over a horn, keyboard or guitar as it gives a more airy feel. Nice tune. Thank you.

Creative sound, enjoyed it

Enjoyed the music, though I wish I could have heard the vocals a little better. The flute line was fun. I had mild problems with the overall mix, it could maybe use some re-mastering, but I had a good time listening. A creative acoustic sound. Good job. Agree with some others that the flute could use some reverb and slip back into the mix just a little bit. There's a bit too much disparity between the level of the lead vocals and the level of the flute.
