In the 1990's B.O.P. started a new genre of music called Pop Noir, which has a atmospheric, filmic feel and gritty lyrics just like it's sister genre Film Noir.
Production was experimental, with song writer/producer and driving force Russell C. Brennan (Aka Russell Writer) reluctant to leave the studio until he'd invented a new sound or way of doing things on the tracks.

New Rare Single Lazer LOve

A previously unreleased rare single by Box Office Poison 'Lazer Love' has just been released on ITunes to commemorate the 40th anniversary of passing of Legendary Marc Bolan of TRex (as its one of his songs) (there is also a new video at YouTube (it features the early line up of the band) selected Cd releases of the band area available at the Future Legend records website but all releases are out on download at all good download stores. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/lazer-love-single/id1291509874
