Nice Song

This is a nice song. Good message, and nice relaxed feel. I personally think it would benefit from a strong intro to bring in the song and lead into the lyrics. A little less processing on the vocal would help it sit in the mix more but overall this is a good job.

The message is lost

A soothing lilting musical background provides a backdrop for a message the writer wishes to convey. The song moves along at an easy pace uninterrupted by any significant changes to the flow. The write clearly has a message they wish to convey but there are two aspects that obscure the message from easy consumption. The first is the heavy use of effects on the vocal that reduce the clarity of the lyrics and the second is there are so many words they get crammed into a limited space and are difficult to consume. This could be a case of less is more to achieve the objectives of the song. Good effort though, I've heard (and probably produced) much worse.

Love the Congas!

Nice wake up message in the lyrics that we can all get behind these days. Although We all can make more of an effort to be nicer to each other as humans not only race relations. The song structure relies on a repeated vocal pattern for a longer than I think it should. It may be more effective to move the Chorus up and repeat it more often. The quality and arrangement of the instrumentation is top shelf. As you can see in my title I think the congas are great. the delay and flanger on the vocal didn't really work for me at first but it grew on me as the track went on. some things you may want to address if you agree with me is the vocal phrasing could be edited to fit the instrumentation in some verses. Also you definitely need to tighten up the vocal intonation in the chorus. Lastly fade the ending maybe on a repeated chorus instead of the abrupt ending. Good song sorry to nit pick but my intention is to be constructive. BC

Decent

This song has a nice groove and the message is relevant. The song concept is good but needs a more professional mix which I think would really bring it out. The vocals are decent, not great. I think a true vocalist would really make this song. Overall good effort.

When I look at the world

The first thing I notice about this tune is it has a very nice vibe. Very nice bass guitar groove. I would liked to have heard more instrumentation (a sax would have fit nicely). I also would have really liked to have heard a nice guitar solo to break things some. Bob is on a mission to make the world a better place (which we all should appreciate), but in doing so he attempts to say a lot in a short period of time which can confound a listener. This is the first I have heard Bob's music & I hope it's not the last. Check it out!

Persuade The Largest Number Of Listeners-(Or Else Your Just Preaching to Your Own Choir)

Very literal lyrics designed to appeal to a likeminded target audience. The overall vibe to me IMHOP was Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On. Except IMHOP Marvin Gaye’s tune had a universal appeal and Marvin Gaye was one of the greatest vocalists I’ve ever heard. I think of classic tunes decrying injustice like Blowing In The Wind (Bob Dylan), A Change Is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke) We Shall Overcome etc. these songs reached people, are woven into the cultural fabric and challenged listeners to find justice. These songs were persuasive. I think the universal relatability was critical to their success. These tunes persuaded people to knock out darkness and hatred with light and love-to paraphrase MLK. BTW-I use a software tool called Melodyne to assist with pitch. But I applaud your effort to be real and speak your mind. Nice job on the tune.

When I Look at the world

This song is on point with the title and life. It explains itself, well done, all you you need is some background vocal. I really like the the total story. You have a beginning , middle and end.

When I look at the World by Bob Sparks

Heartfelt observation by big voiced Bob Sparks, on the state of the world, specifically racism. The song spirals into a condemnation of all political and religious inspired evil in the world. I thought this was a song which was going to be just criticism of others, but the almost spoken verses end with a good chorus, "where has our love gone" and you can't argue with that. I personally thought that Bob was perhaps piling in too many words and making the sentiment just a bit too obvious, but maybe it is true that you have to spell it out to some people. A careful rewrite (and it's just my opinion) rapping the the main lyrics more forcefully would emphasise the chorus loop more. Might be the way to go, opening up the audience for this song. Think Chris Thomas King in his rap/blues mode some years back on 21st century blues. Great voice though and well put together. Give it a listen.

Abysmal tosh

This is totally putrid, lacking any musical integrity and without any redeeming quality. I can only suppose that this poor fellow is in training to be a preacher. What he achieves is a simplistic interpretation of a warped view of the world as he sees it. Maybe somebody once stole his cheeseburger or gave him a dirty look. One can only guess. However, in his case, he need not wonder where love has gone because it was never there in the first place. Hopefully, more people will tell him that he would be better sticking to collecting cans.

nice look

gotta start off , with this this song totally reminds me of old motown , specifically, just my imagination . track wise that is , the vocal doesn't, which is good. the lead vocal i must say could have been recorded better , and also integrated into the mix better too.the weakest thing about this , very unfortunately is the vocalist himself. this is a very nice r& b track , the style , and arranging of the vocal is good , but the execution is , flat , and not very soulful put in the hands of a more dynamic vocalist this is a five ...
