Firstly: We dearly hope that you all, and your loved ones and families, are safe and well. We send our love from the UK. This, indeed, is real. We are all living different lives for now and for the unforeseeable. Way back in January or February Sam and I were excited to be working on some new material - writing and rehearsing a few new songs. Then we got locked down. Very much the same for all our friends in the USA, Italy, Spain, France, Canada, Australia, South America ........... and everywhere you are. We have very much been inspired by the way in which, in the face of adversity, the Human Spirit has prevailed. In particular, the incredible efforts of those who work on the "front line" in this battle against the pandemic. Those who nurse, those who provide care, and those who we rely on for what we used to perceive as basic services. All heroes, each and every one. Sam and I have not seen each other for over six weeks now, which is pretty unnatural for us. I really miss him, and I think he misses me too. Anyhow, I guess you all have similar sentiments. It's hard, isn't it? Though, if I am able to write this and you are able to read it, we should count ourselves lucky. So, we decided to sing something just off the bat to put on N1M. Something for all the heroes and all those who share their spirit. It's just a wee Foos cover that is very rough at the edges, but we loved the moment of producing it and we loved the new experiences, such as singing into a mobile phone. We are in isolation, five miles apart, but always together. Whatever happens from here on in, always be together, no matter how far apart you are, and hold on to that Human Spirit.
