Guitarist VocalistNewel is originally from outside of Austin, Texas. He ended up in Oregon roughly 40 years ago. He was a member of the Burners in Eugene, OR. and a member of the African Kings in Portland, OR. He is a fantastic guitarist and a great addition to the Party Kings. Also one of the nicest people on the planet!
Bill Rhoades
Harp Player VocalistBill has been playing Blues since the late 1960"s! He's a member of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. He has won 22 "Muddy Awards" from the Cascade Blues Association. He was one of the founders of the Oregon Blues Society and the Cascade Blues Association. He was a Blues DJ for 35 years on KLCC, KBOO and KMHD. He has played with Albert Collins, Jimmy Rogers, Michael Bloomfield, Luther Tucker, Smokey Wilson, Big Daddy Kinsey, Buckwheat Zydeco and many others. He has also appeared on recordings with Michael Osborn (with Robben Ford), Norman Sylvester, Chris Coltrane and others.
